Кортексин в дозе 10 мг Korteksin – nootropic drug.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – lyophilisate from which prepare solution for intramuscular introduction: powder or porous weight purely white or with a yellowish shade of color (5 mg – in bottles with a capacity of 3 ml, in a blister strip packaging of 5 bottles, in a cardboard pack 2 packagings; 10 mg – in bottles with a capacity of 5 ml, in a cardboard pack of 10 bottles).

Active ingredient of drug is кортексин – a complex of water-soluble polypeptide fractions with a molecular weight no more than 10 000 Yes: in 1 bottle – 5 or 10 mg.

Auxiliary component (it is used as the stabilizer) – glycine.

Indications to use

Korteksin is applied as a part of complex therapy of the following diseases / states:

Disturbances of cerebral circulation;
Cognitive disturbances (in particular, disorders of thinking and memory);
Delay of speech, mental and motor development in children;
Reduced ability to training;
Encephalopathies of various origin;
Asthenic states;
Craniocereberal injuries and their effects;
Various forms of cerebral palsy;
Epilepsy;
Nadsegmentarny vegetative frustration;
Chronic and acute encephalitis and encephalomyelitis.

Contraindications

Korteksin is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to his components.

Drug is not appointed during pregnancy due to the lack of data on safety of its use in this period.

In need of performing treatment during a lactation breastfeeding should be stopped.

Route of administration and dosage

Korteksin is intended for intramuscular introduction.

Just before an injection lyophilisate is dissolved in 1-2 ml of injection water, by 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride or 0,5% of solution of Procainum, directing a needle to a bottle wall (not to allow foaming).

Enter means daily within 10 days in a dose:

Adults and children with body weight more than 20 kg – 10 mg;
Children with body weight less than 20 kg – 0,5 mg on each kilogram of weight.

If there is a need, in 3-6 months conduct a repeated course.

At an acute polusharny ischemic stroke and in the early recovery period the adult Korteksin appoint 10 mg twice a day. Treatment duration – 10 days. The course is repeated after a 10-day break.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions to drug are possible.

Special instructions

Korteksin it is impossible to mix with other solutions.

When using as solvent of 0,5% of solution of Procainum it is necessary to consider the age restrictions, contraindications and precautionary measures stated in the instruction to this drug.

The solution prepared from lyophilisate cannot be stored and, respectively, to use after storage.

In case of the admission of the next injection it is not necessary to double a dose.

Data on influence of drug on the speed of reactions and ability to concentration of attention are absent.
