Pimidel
Application instruction:
Pimidel – уроантисептик, antibacterial agent from group of hinolon.
Form of release and structure
Is issued in the form of capsules: gelatinous firm, opaque, two-color, with the case of color of ivory and a cap of dark green color; contents – partially komkovaty powder from white till white-yellowish color (in a pack cardboard 2 blister strip packagings on 10 capsules).
Active agent: pipemidovy acid, in 1 capsule its contents makes 200 mg.
Auxiliary components: anhydrous dioxide of silicon colloid, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycollate, lactoses monohydrate.
Indications to use
Pimidel is intended for treatment of the infectious diseases of an urinary system (acute and chronic) caused by flora, sensitive to pipemidovy acid, including:
- Cystitis;
- Uretrita;
- Pyelonephritis;
- Prostatitis.
In the preventive purposes drug is appointed for the prevention of development of infectious processes when carrying out tool interventions, including by catheterizations and endoscopies.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- Organic lesions of the central nervous system;
- Heavy abnormal liver functions;
- Heavy renal failures (clearance of creatinine less than 60 ml/minute, serum creatinine more than 265 µmol/l);
- The infections caused by activators, steady against pipemidovy acid;
- Children's age;
- Pregnancy and feeding by a breast;
- Hypersensitivity to any of being a part of drug to a component.
Relative (states at which it is necessary to apply Pimidel with extra care, after careful assessment of a ratio advantage risk):
- Anury;
- Oliguria;
- Brain vasospasms;
- Disturbance of cerebral circulation;
- Anamnestic data on a hematencephalon;
- Spasms;
- Renal failure;
- Advanced age (70 years are more senior).
Route of administration and dosage
Pimidel accept inside before meal.
The standard single dose makes 2 capsules, frequency rate of reception – 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening).
In some cases, if microorganisms, steady against drug, are revealed, increase a daily dose twice.
At staphylococcal infections the interval between receptions should not be less than 8 hours.
The average duration of treatment – 10 days, if necessary the doctor can prolong a course.
Treatment of diseases of kidneys usually requires from 3 to 6 weeks, for therapy of prostatitis – from 6 to 8 weeks.
Side effects
- Dermatological and allergic reactions: an itch, rash, urticaria, photosensitivity with an erythema;
- From digestive tract: diarrhea, nausea and/or vomiting;
- From the central nervous system: вертиго, headache, vision disorders, general weakness; in rare instances – peripheral disturbances (are shown by muscular weakness and a mialgiya), hallucinations, psychoses and depressive frustration; extremely seldom – big convulsive attacks.
Patients with deficit of a glyukozo-6-dehydrogenase have a risk of development of hemolitic anemia.
Special instructions
During treatment by Pimidel the use of a large amount of liquid is shown (under control of a diuresis).
Patients are recommended to avoid quartz treatment and stay under the sun.
When performing long-term treatment the antibiotikogramm should carry out periodically, and also to keep under control functions of kidneys and a liver, a picture of peripheral blood.
With observance of precautionary measures Pimidel it is necessary to apply to treatment of patients with epilepsy.
Medicinal interaction
At simultaneous use pipemidovy acid promotes increase in concentration of caffeine and theophylline, slowing down their metabolism.
