Solkoseril – the means accelerating processes of recovery (regeneration) and metabolism in fabrics.

Pharmacological action of Solkoseril

Active component of Solkoseril is an extract from the blood of milk calfs deprived of protein.

Drug Solkoseril is used locally, and also used for intramuscular and intravenous administration. At the carried-out therapy drug promotes:

• To recovery of fabrics;
• To transfer of oxygen and glucose to cells in a condition of air hunger (hypoxia);
• To vasifaction (angiogenesis);
• To recovery of vessels in any site of fabric or body (revascularization of fabrics) to which blood inflow is reduced or stopped;
• To synthesis of collagen and growth of fresh granulyatsionny fabric;
• To the accelerated recovery of an epithelium and closing of a wound.

Solkoseril according to the instruction is characterized by also membrane stabilizing and cytoprotective action (protects normal cells from influence of cytotoxic drugs and radiation).

Release form

Solkoseril release in a dosage form:

• Jelly and ointments, on 20 g in tubas;
• Gel eye, on 5 g in tubas;
• Injection solution, in ampoules on 2 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml. On 25 pieces in packaging.

Solkoseril's analogs on the mechanism of action are the drugs Actovegin, Apropol, Vulnusanum, Kamadol, Ointment Turmanidze, Redetsil, Tsinokap.

Indications to Solkoseril's use

Solkoseril according to the instruction appoint:

• At treatment of trophic ulcers;
• At treatment of burns of the second and third degree;
• At skin plastics;
• At treatment of decubituses;
• At treatment of diseases which are connected with disturbance of passability of vessels of the lower extremities;
• At chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities.

Besides, Solkoseril's use is effective when carrying out operations on substitution of the damaged cornea of an eye (keratoplasty), and also at treatment of various defeats of a cornea, such as:

• Keratitis (cornea inflammation);
• Erosion (superficial defect of mucous);
• Ulcer;
• Corrosive burns.

Contraindications

According to the instruction Solkoseril it is contraindicated to apply:

• In case of hypersensitivity to drug components;
• To children up to eighteen years;
• At pregnancy and during feeding (because of a lack of information on safety of use of drug during these periods).

Solkoseril route of administration

Solkoseril apply as locally, and in the form of injections.

At treatment of decubituses drug is used for intravenous or intramuscular administration – one-two ampoules a day, and also in the form of jelly locally before formation of connecting fabric on a surface of a wound (granulations). Then apply ointment to a complete recovery of a surface of skin or mucous.

At treatment of burns appoint intravenously or intramusculary two-four ampoules of Solkoseril a day, and also locally use jelly or ointment.

At therapy of diseases of a cornea Solkoseril enter into a cavity between a back surface a century and a front surface of an eyeglobe.

In case of radiation damages of skin intravenous or intramuscular use of Solkoseril on one ampoule a day is shown, and in certain cases it is possible to use drug in a dosage form of ointment or jelly.

At treatment of trophic ulcers or gangrenes enter up to four-five ampoules a day together with use of jelly or ointment locally. At prevention of radiation injuries of skin Solkoseril it is according to reviews effective to apply ointment on skin, continuing greasing for 14 days upon termination of radiation.

Solkoseril apply at intravenous administration as usual injections – one-two ampoules, and also in the form of droppers – three-five ampoules divorced in 250 ml of 5% solution of glucose or isotonic solution of sodium of chloride.

Also intra arterial drop administration of drug – three-five ampoules divorced in 500 ml of 5% solution of glucose or isotonic solution of sodium of chloride is possible.

Treatment by Solkoseril according to reviews can last from four to eight weeks.

At predisposition to repetition after full epithelization use of drug throughout two-three weeks is possible, entering one-two ampoules a week intravenously or intramusculary.

Side effects of Solkoseril

According to reviews Solkoseril can sometimes cause allergic reactions in the form of an enanthesis, and also slight increase of temperature.

Storage conditions

Drug is stored in the dark place unavailable to children, at a temperature of 25 °C. A period of storage – five years.
