In the western countries, unlike Japan, also add to sauce:

  • Sesame, ginger, garlic and other spices;
  • Juice from tinned pineapples as it not only provides necessary sweet to sauce, but also helps to soften meat.

How to make teriyaki sauce

  • 100 ml of soy sauce;
  • 100 ml to Saca;
  • 100 ml of a gelding (sweet rice wine which can be replaced with sugar syrup);

How to prepare dishes with teriyaki sauce

For preparation of dishes with sauce, fish or meat fry in vegetable oil before formation of a crust on strong fire. After that teriyaki sauce is poured out in a frying pan and boil out a little more. Add fried meat or fish to hot sauce and overturn pieces so that they became covered by sauce as glaze.

Also with teriyaki it is possible to cook seafood and vegetables for what they are pickled in sauce, and then fry on lattices and give together with sauce.

Contraindications

Abuse of teriyaki sauce can provoke development of an urolithiasis (stones in kidneys) and hypertensions because of high content of sodium in this product.
