Atresia

Atresia (atresia; and - – otritsa. Greek tresis – an opening) – one of anomalies of development which is characterized by lack of the natural channel or an opening is frequent +. The term is in certain cases applied at designation of similar effects of inflammatory processes, for example, a gullet atresia because of cicatricial changes against the background of corrosive burns.
