Atriomegaly

Atriomegaly (atriomegalia; annate. atrium – an auricle + Greek megas, megalu – big) – sharp increase in the left auricle that is caused by its dilatation. Most often the atriomegaly arises at insufficiency of the mitral valve of heart in connection with regurgitation in a blood auricle from a left ventricle.
