Iodine
Application instruction:
Iodine – drug with local irritative, antiseptic and antiinflammatory action.
Form of release and structure
Iodine produce in the form of solution for external use spirit 5%: red-brown transparent liquid with a characteristic smell (in dark glass ampoules on 1 ml with a knife ampoule, on 10 ampoules in a cardboard pack; in bottles on 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 ml, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack).
Active agent is a part of 1 ml of spirit solution: iodine – 50 mg.
Indications to use
- Diseases of mucous membranes and skin of inflammatory character;
- Atherosclerosis;
- Miositis;
- Neuralgia (as a revulsive);
- Tertiary syphilis.
Contraindications
Serve as a contraindication for use of iodine: a nephrosis, nephrite, a pulmonary tuberculosis, a chronic pyoderma, a furunculosis, acne rash, a small tortoiseshell, hemorrhagic diathesis, pregnancy, age up to 5 years (for intake), hypersensitivity to drug components.
Route of administration and dosage
Outwardly Iodine is applied, applying on the damaged sites of skin.
Inside Iodine should be accepted after food, adding a single dose to milk.
As a rule, the adult drug is appointed:
- Atherosclerosis (treatment): 10-12 drops 3 times a day;
- Atherosclerosis (prevention): 1-10 drops 1-2 times a day (everyone is recommended to conduct 2-3 courses a year lasting 30 days);
- Tertiary syphilis (treatment): 5-50 drops 2-3 times a day.
The maximum single dose Yoda makes 20 drops, daily – 60 drops.
Children of 5 years should accept 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day (to children of younger age drug is not appointed inside).
Side effects
During use Yoda development of the iodism which is shown in the form of cold, a Quincke's edema, hypersalivation, dacryagogue, acne rash on skin and some other symptoms is possible.
Special instructions
Before reception Yoda inside, and also at development of uncharacteristic symptoms it is necessary to consult at the doctor.
Medicinal interaction
Yoda with other medicines is not present data on interaction.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not below 0 °C.
