Ambenum

Ambenum – complex antiinflammatory, soothing and an antipyretic.

Form of release and structure

Ambenum is issued in the form of solution for intramuscular introduction. In a set of drug there are double ampoules (6 pieces) of dark glass with solutions A (2 ml) and In (1 ml). Ampoules are on sale in plastic trays. One cardboard pack contains 1 tray.

Solution A transparent, colourless or with slightly yellowish shade. Solution B transparent, red color.

The following active ingredients are a part of solution A:

• Dexamethasone (has antiinflammatory activity);
• Sodium Salicylamidum-au-acetate (anesthetizes and promotes the fastest dissolution of means);
• Phenylbutazone (possesses anesthetic, febrifugal, antiinflammatory action, removes uric acid);
• Lidocaine a hydrochloride (provides painless introduction of means).

Ambenum are a part of solution B of drug:

• The cyanocobalamine activating a lipometabolism and process of recovery of cells;
• Lidocaine hydrochloride.

Indications to use

According to the instruction, Ambenum appoint at:

• Joint syndrome;
• Neuralgia;
• Pseudorheumatism;
• To gout;
• Neuritis;
• Radiculitis;
• Osteoarthritis;
• Ankylosing spondylitis and other degenerative diseases of a backbone.

Contraindications

According to the instruction, Ambenum do not appoint at the following pathologies:

• Peptic ulcer of a GIT;
• Gastritis in an aggravation stage;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components;
• Acute heart attack;
• Heart chronic failure of the second and third degree;
• Myocardium diseases with conductivity disturbances;
• Pathologies of a thyroid gland.

Use Ambenum is contraindicated also at:

• Viral infections;
• System mycosis;
• Cornea injuries;
• To glaucoma;
• Diseases of blood and marrow;
• Myasthenias;
• Myopathies;
• Hemorrhagic diathesis;
• Porphyrias;
• Pancreatitis;
• The lymphadenitis caused by performing vaccination by means of BTsZh;
• Stomatitis.

According to the instruction Ambenum it is contraindicated to women during pregnancy and a lactation, to children up to 14 years and to patients at advanced age.

Route of administration and dosage

Injections Ambenum appoint 1 time a day, every day or every other day, no more than 3 in a week. Between courses of treatment it is necessary to do a break in 2-3 weeks.

Drug is used as follows: solutions from 2 ampoules (solution A and solution B) mix in one syringe and enter deeply intramusculary, slowly, the patient during an injection has to be in horizontal position. It is necessary to watch that temperature of the entered medicine was not lower than the body temperature of the patient.

Side effects

Use Ambenum can cause:

• Spasms;
• Headache;
• Psychosis;
• Euphoria;
• Dizziness;
• Sleep disorder;
• Renal failures, liver, hearing, sight;
• Excitement;
• Anury;
• Vomiting, abdominal pains, diarrhea, deterioration in appetite;
• Erosive damages and bleedings from a GIT.

Also at use Ambenum can develop: aplastic anemia, a pancytopenia, an agranulocytosis, bradycardia, an orthostatic collapse, can go down pressure, appear an allergy, fever, a fungus, a fluid lungs and a brain, in rare instances the patient can fell into a coma. In the place of an injection pain, an inflammation or a necrosis of fabrics is sometimes observed.

For treatment of the heavy side reactions which developed after use Ambenum carry out artificial ventilation of the lungs, a hemodialysis, other resuscitation actions. If necessary it is necessary to enter Diazepam intravenously.

Special instructions

With caution it is recommended to take means at:

• Tuberculosis;
• Bacterial infection;
• To bronchial asthma;
• Amebiasis;
• Epilepsies;
• Mental disorders;
• The increased and lowered pressure;
• Senna to fever;
• Osteoporosis;
• Thromboembolisms.

During treatment surely it is necessary to consider that the combination Ambenum with alcohol, and also other means of antiinflammatory action increases risk of discovery of bleedings in a GIT.

The hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia can develop at co-administration of drug with antidiabetic peroral drugs.

Besides, means increases toxicity of a methotrexate, Phenytoinum, strengthens effect of somnolent drugs, reduces efficiency of hypotensive and hormonal contraceptives, Sulfinpyrazonum, probenetsid.

Action Ambenum is reduced by barbiturates, hydantoin, promethazine, rifampicin and other drugs inductors of microsomal liver enzymes, and strengthen – methylphenidate and anabolic steroids.

Analogs

If there is no opportunity to use Ambenum, as analogs can act Dexamethasone with Lidocaine which should be entered in the form of blockade at the level of the damaged nervous root. Besides, in some cases as analogs recommend to use Dexamethasone with drug Milgam.

Use of these means is possible only according to the recommendation and under observation of the doctor.

Terms and storage conditions

Ambenum it is necessary to store in the dry, protected from hit of direct sunshine place at a temperature not above 25 °C.

The period of validity of drug makes 3 years.
