Route of administration and dosage

At treatment of diseases of eyes the doctor defines a dosage individually. As a rule, dig in 3-4 times a day 1-2 drops in a conjunctival sac of the affected eye. It is possible to increase the frequency of use of drug in an acute stage to 2 drops each 1-2 hours. After improvement frequency rate of use is reduced. The general duration of topical treatment is defined by character and disease severity. At absence within 14 days of therapeutic effect further use of Garazon is inexpedient.

At treatment of diseases of an ear outside acoustical pass before use of drug should be cleared. The recommended initial dose – 3-4 drops, frequency rate of use – 2-4 times a day. The patient has to lie on one side with the affected ear turned up, after a solution instillation for ensuring penetration of drug in acoustical pass it is necessary to remain some more minutes in this situation.

At reduction of expressiveness of the inflammatory phenomena the dosage is gradually reduced. Therapy is stopped after disappearance of symptoms of a disease.

If necessary in outside acoustical pass it is possible to enter the cotton plug impregnated with solution which needs to be supported further wet, moistening with drug each 4 hours. The tampon is replaced in 24 hours.

At chronic diseases of ears and eyes the termination of therapy is carried out, gradually reducing use frequency.

Side effects

After Garazon's instillation perhaps short-term emergence of burning sensation, dryness or an itch of skin in the place of use.

The side effects connected with influence of drops Garazon on eyes:

  • Glucocorticosteroids: a mydriasis, glaucoma, increase in intraocular pressure, development of a back subkapsulyarny cataract, damage of an optic nerve, perforation of a cornea and sclera, narrowing of fields and decrease in visual acuity, an acute front uveitis, penetration of air bubbles after surgical treatment of a cataract, the slowed-down healing of wounds, development of consecutive infection of eyes (for example, Herpes Zoster), a ptosis and disturbance of accommodation;
  • Antibiotic drugs: allergic reactions.

At use of Gentamycini sulfas there were also messages on passing irritation of eyes.

Special instructions

Drug is intended only for topical administration. Subconjunctival introduction and Garazon's use directly in an anterior chamber of an eye is forbidden.

Lack of bystry medical effect during use of drug forms the basis for specification of the diagnosis.

At preservation of symptoms of a disease or at its recurrence for definition of sensitivity of the activator to antibiotics it is necessary to conduct a bacteriological research.

At Garazon's appointment for a period of 10 days it is necessary to measure intraocular pressure. Tonometriya of eyes is recommended to be seen off using a slit lamp. Patients in whose family anamnesis there is an open angle glaucoma, a myopia of high degree and a diabetes mellitus treat risk group of increase in intraocular pressure as a result of topical administration of glucocorticosteroids.

It is known that at the diseases causing thinning of a sclera or cornea, topical administration of glucocorticosteroids can lead to perforation of an eyeglobe. Because of it it is not recommended to begin treatment of helcomas of a bacterial etiology which can be caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa with use of a combination of an antibiotic and a glucocorticosteroid. In this case in an initiation of treatment it is reasonable to use only antibacterial drugs. If the response to antibacterial therapy is, accession to treatment of anti-inflammatory drug for the prevention of formation of a hem of a cornea and minimization of fibrous reaction is possible.

Glucocorticosteroids at acute purulent processes in an eye can mask or exponentiate already existing infection.

At treatment of the infections caused by a herpes simplex virus, glucocorticosteroids need to be applied with extreme care.

Long topical administration of glucocorticosteroids or antibiotics can lead to increase in growth of insensitive microorganisms, including mushrooms.

Between various glucocorticosteroids and aminoglycosides development of cross allergic reactions was noted.

To avoid cross infection and pollution, to use one bottle of drug for simultaneous therapy of an infection of an ear and an eye does not follow. When using a bottle dropper more than one person, spread of an infection is possible.

At long therapy, Garazon it is necessary to cancel gradually.
