Gepon

Gepon – immunoexcitant with antiviral action.

Form of release and structure

Dosage forms:

• The lyophilized powder for preparation of solution for intake and external use (in bottles or ampoules on 1 or 2 mg, in a blister strip packaging 1 bottle or 1 ampoule, in a cardboard pack: 1 packaging; or 1 packaging complete with 1 bottle or an ampoule of solvent (5 ml of water for injections); or 1 packaging complete with solvent (5 ml of water for injections) in a bottle or an ampoule and the one-time syringe);
• Solution for intake and external use (0,1%: on 1 or 2 ml in bottles, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle in a set with the syringe or a pipette; 0,02%: on 5 ml or 10 ml in bottles, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle complete with a nozzle sprayer, either a cover dropper, or the syringe, or a pipette).

Active ingredient of Gepon – the synthetic peptide consisting of 14 amino-acid remains:

• 1 bottle or 1 ampoule with the lyophilized powder – 1 mg, 2 mg;
• 1 ml of solution in bottles on 5 and 10 ml – 0,2 mg;
• 1 ml of solution in bottles on 1 and 2 ml – 1 mg.

Indications to use

• Treatment of HIV infection;
• Recovery of the weakened immunity at immunodeficient pathologies;
• Increase in immunity for protection against infections;
• The opportunistic infections caused by viruses, bacteria or mushrooms (treatment and prevention);
• Candidiasis of skin and mucous membranes, including against the background of therapy by antibiotics (treatment and prevention);
• Dryness of mucous membranes, the inflammation of skin and mucous membranes which is followed by reddening, an itch, hypostasis, burning and pain.

Contraindications

• Age up to 12 years;
• Breastfeeding period;
• Individual intolerance of drug.

At pregnancy use of drug is authorized only in exceptional cases if the estimated clinical effect for mother surpasses potential threat for a fruit.

Route of administration and dosage

Gepon in the form of solution apply locally or accept inside.

For preparation of solution from the lyophilized powder it is necessary to add to contents of a bottle or an ampoule 5 ml of normal saline solution or water for injections.

The recommended dosing:

• Inside: on 10 mg of 1 times a day;
• Local processing of skin and mucous membranes: 1-2 mg of 1 times a day in the form of 0,02-0,04% of solution.

The route of administration, duration of treatment and frequency rate of procedures depend on clinical indications:

• Treatment of immunodeficiency, opportunistic infections at HIV infection: inside within 1-3 months;
• Prevention and treatment of fungal infections of the sort Candida on skin and mucous membranes: 0,02-0,04% solution in the form of local irrigation of affected areas – 3 irrigations with an interval between procedures of 1-3 days;
• Candidosis vulvovaginitis, cervicitis, urethritis: in the form of irrigations of a mucous membrane of a vulva, vagina, neck of uterus, lotions on affected areas of skin, adjacent to an entrance to a vagina;
• Candidosis urethritis, balanoposthitis: in the form of instillation in an urethra and lotions on skin of an affected area of a body;
• Prevention of candidiasis of skin and mucous membranes against the background of an intensive care antibiotics: the accompanying use of irrigations or lotions during the entire period of treatment;
• Inflammation of skin and mucous body surfaces: in the form of applications from the gauze napkins and irrigations impregnated with solution.

Side effects

When using Gepon's according to the recommended dosing mode undesirable effects are not established.

Special instructions

According to results of clinical trials, local activation of immunity exerts positive impact on treatment of erosive cankers of a duodenogastric zone at patients of advanced age.

Gepon's use is shown both in the form of monotherapy, and in combination with Trichopolum, amoxicillin, omeprazoly.

At treatment of dysbacteriosis and a syndrome of the angry intestines local activation of immunity of a mucous membrane of intestines with use of a microclyster with drug, including in the form of monotherapy is effective.

Medicinal interaction

At Gepon's combination to other medicines of clinically significant interaction it is not established.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the protected from light, dry place at a temperature up to 8 °C. To protect from children.

Period of validity – 2 years.
