Glycine
Application instruction:
Glycine – the drug promoting improvement of metabolism of a brain.
Form of release and structure
Glycine is produced in the form of tablets hypoglossal: ploskotsilindrichesky, white with mramornost elements, with a facet (on 50 pieces in blister strip packagings, on 1 packaging in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1 tablet:
- Active agent: the microencapsulated glycine – 100 mg;
- Auxiliary components: magnesium stearate – 1 mg; methyl cellulose water-soluble – 1 mg.
Indications to use
- The lowered intellectual working capacity;
- Deviant forms of behavior of children and teenagers;
- Psychoemotional tension, stressful situations (conflict situation, period of examinations);
- Ischemic stroke;
- Various organic and functional diseases of a nervous system which are followed by emotional instability, a hyperexcitability, a sleep disorder and decrease in intellectual working capacity: neurosises, vegeto-vascular dystonia (VSD) and neurosis-like conditions, effects of craniocereberal injuries and neuroinfections, perinatal and other forms of encephalopathies (including having alcoholic genesis).
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to apply glycine with hypersensitivity to drug components.
Route of administration and dosage
It is transbukkalno necessary to apply glycine or sublingual on 100 mg (in tablets or as powder after crushing of a tablet).
To almost healthy adult and children at reduced intellectual working capacity, memory and attention, the psychoemotional tension, a delay of intellectual development, deviant forms of behavior Glycine is appointed by 2-3 times a day on 1 tablet. Reception duration – 2-4 weeks.
To children up to 3 years at defeats of a nervous system (organic and functional) which are followed by a hyperexcitability, sleep disorders and emotional lability appoint 2-3 times a day on 1/2 tablets (50 mg) within 1-2 weeks. Further for 7-10 days Glycine is accepted once a day. The daily dose makes 100-150 mg, course – from 2000 to 2600 mg. To adults and children 3 years are more senior appoint 100 mg 2-3 times a day. The average duration of a medical course – 1-2 weeks. If necessary therapy can be carried out within 1 month. According to indications carrying out a repeated course with observance of an interval in 30 days is possible.
At a sleep disorder Glycine should be accepted just before a dream or in 20 minutes prior to a dream. Depending on age the dose can vary within 50-100 mg.
At an ischemic brain stroke Glycine within the first 3-6 hours from the moment of development of a stroke is appointed podjyazychno or transbukkalno with one teaspoon of water in a dose of 1000 mg. Within 1-5 days drug should be accepted in the same dose. For the next 30 days Glycine is appointed by 3 times a day on 1-2 tablets.
In narcology drug is used as the means increasing intellectual working capacity, and also for reduction of psychoemotional tension during remission at organic lesions of the central and peripheral nervous system and the phenomena of encephalopathy. Glycine is usually appointed within 14-30 days by 2-3 times a day on 1 tablet. If necessary repetition of courses is possible (4-6 times a year).
Side effects
During therapy development of allergic reactions is possible.

Before Glycine use, and also in cases of development of uncharacteristic symptoms it is necessary to consult with the doctor.
Medicinal interaction
Glycine can weaken expressiveness of side effects of anxiolytics, neuroleptics (antipsychotic means), antidepressants, anticonvulsant and somnolent medicines.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
