Holisal – the combined 
drug with antimicrobic, anti-inflammatory, and analgeziruyushchy action for use in stomatology.
Pharmacological action
At the local use active agent of drug Holisal renders a local anesthesia, a zharoponizheniye and antiinflammatory action by bystry absorption by a mucous membrane of an oral cavity. Holisal brakes activity of enzyme cyclooxygenase, functions of leukocytes in blood. In the acid and alkaline environment Holisal keeps the antifungal and antimicrobic action.
Release form
Holisal is issued in tubas in the form of colourless, transparent, homogeneous gel with an anise smell. According to the instruction Holisal consists of two active components: sincaline of salicylate and chloride tsetalkoniya. Holisal's analog is the combination of these two active components.
Indications to Holisal's use
Holisal's use is justified for topical administration as anesthetic on mucous membranes of an oral cavity and anti-inflammatory means at treatment of a parodont, disturbances of a mucous membrane. Also according to the instruction Holisal is used for treatment of diseases which proceed with pain and inflammatory reaction, such as: stomatitises, ulites, parodontita, injuries of a mucous oral cavity, hurt children at a teething.
Route of administration
Holisal is applied to a local anesthesia from 2 to 3 times a day to food or after food and before going to bed. Gel Holisal is squeezed out on a clean finger at a rate of 1 centimeter for adults or half-centimeter for children and rubbed by the massing movements with easy pressing to the site of an oral cavity affected with a disease.
Holisal is put in gingival pockets at diseases of a parodont, applied in the form of compresses, and also rubbed in gingivas of 1 - 2 time a day.
Holisal and his analogs it is possible to feel Analgeziruyushchy property of drug already in a few minutes, duration of action of Holisal from 2 to 8 hours.
Side effects of Holisal
After Holisal's use 
emergence short-term a burning sensation which passes by itself is possible, emergence of allergic reactions is also possible.
The overdose by drug according to reviews of Holisala is improbable as active agents possess low system absorption.
Contraindications
Holisal is contraindicated if the patient has a hypersensitivity to active components of drug or the increased sensitivity to salicylates.
According to the instruction Holisal it is necessary to accept with special attention to patients aged till 1 year, at pregnancy and breastfeeding.
