Ersefuril – antidiarrheal means, an intestinal antiseptic agent. Противодиарейный препарат Эрсефурил

Form of production of drug – solid gelatin capsules with the powder of yellow color which is contained inside. 1 capsule of Ersefuril contains 200 mg of a nifuroksazid and auxiliary components: magnesium stearate (1,8 mg), sucrose (72 mg), corn starch (88 mg).

Pharmacological action of Ersefuril

The medical effect of Ersefuril according to the instruction consists in blocking of activity of enzyme of dehydrogenases - the substances providing implementation of reactions of fatty, carbohydrate metabolism and oxidation in a microbic cell. Nifuroksazid oppresses a cycle of tricarboxylic acids, respiratory chains, destroys a membrane and interferes with implementation of a number of biochemical processes in cells, being "responsible" for intestinal infection.

Ersefuril's action also consists in activation of immunity of the patient, increase in a caption of a complement and phagocytosis – process at which there is an absorption of cells, hostile for our organism, special microorganisms (phagocytes). Ersefuril's use in therapeutic doses provides bacteriostatic action of drug, in higher dosages – bactericidal.

Medicine is effective concerning gram-positive (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Clostridium) and gram-negative (Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Enterobacter, Klebsiela, Vibrio cholerae) microorganisms.

In responses to Ersefuril the negative impact of drug on the saprophytic flora of intestines participating in formation of immunity is not noted – that is the use of means does not cause dysbacteriosis.

Drug resistance of bacterial strains, according to medical researches, does not develop. At organism infection with enterotropic viruses Ersefuril interferes with emergence of bacterial superinfection.

According to responses Ersefuril is applied at acute bacterial diarrhea, effectively recovering эубиоз (balance) of flora of intestines.

Indications to Ersefuril's use

Эрсефурил в капсулах Diarrhea (acute diarrhea of bacterial character). Drug is appointed in the absence of suspicion of organism infection with worms (invasion). In case of detection of infectious diarrhea with the symptoms indicating an invasion purpose of systematic antibacterial therapy is necessary.

Treatment by Ersefuril according to indications does not cancel need of carrying out process of a regidratation which is understood as recovery of a water salt metabolism if it is required.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to nitrofuran derivatives, children's age up to 6 years. Use of drug at pregnancy is possible in the presence of indications to Ersefuril – if the estimated advantage of reception of means exceeds risk for full-fledged fetation. Ersefuril's use in the period of a lactation is not forbidden.

Due to the availability in Ersefuril's list of sucrose, reception of medicine is not recommended to the persons suffering from a glucose galactose sprue, intolerance of fructose or at deficit of invertase-isomaltase.

Side effects of Ersefuril

In certain cases administration of drug can provoke allergic reactions – such as small tortoiseshell, skin rashes, Quincke's edema or acute anaphylaxis.

Storage conditions

Optimal conditions of storage of Ersefuril according to the instruction is the dry and cool place, at a temperature not above 30 degrees Celsius. A drug period of validity – 5 years. It is not recommended to use medicine after a period of validity.
