Cocarboxylase
Application instruction:
Cocarboxylase – the metabolic means improving power supply and metabolism of fabrics.
Form of release and structure
Drug is produced in the form of lyophilisate for preparation of solution for intravenous (in/in) and intramuscular introduction (in oil) (on 25 mg or 50 mg in ampoules complete with solvent ampoules, in a cardboard pack of 20, 10 or 5 sets; on 25 mg or 50 mg in ampoules, in a cardboard pack of 10 ampoules).
Active ingredient – Cocarboxylasi hydrochloridum, in 1 ampoule – 25 mg or 50 mg.
Solvent: water for injections.
Indications to use
As vitamin drug use of Cocarboxylase is shown at a combination therapy of the following diseases:
- Acidosis against the background of a hyper glycemic coma, a metabolic acidosis, acidosis at pulmonary and cordial and respiratory insufficiency;
- Myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, chronic form of heart failure, unstable stenocardia, postinfarction cardiosclerosis;
- Renal failure;
- Poisonings, intoxication with barbiturates or cardiac glycosides;
- Alcoholism in an acute or chronic form;
- Liver failure;
- Typhoid, scarlet fever, diphtheria, paratyphus and other diseases of infectious genesis;
- Multiple sclerosis, neuralgia, peripheral neuritis.
To children drug is appointed in the period of a neonatality at perinatal hypoxemic encephalopathy, pneumonia, respiratory insufficiency, a hypoxia, sepsis, acidosis.
Contraindications
Use of cocarboxylase is contraindicated at hypersensitivity.
Route of administration and dosage
Ready solution of Cocarboxylase is applied for in oil, in/in jet or drop and sublingual (to newborns) by introductions.
Purpose of a dose of drug and the period of treatment is made by the doctor on the basis of clinical indications.
The recommended dosing for adults: on 50-200 mg a day, for patients with a diabetes mellitus (a coma, acidosis) the dose can fluctuate from 100 to 1000 mg.
Daily dosing for children has age restrictions:
- To babies up to 3 months – 25 mg;
- To children from 4 months to 7 years – 25-50 mg;
- Teenagers are from 8 to 18 years old – 50-100 mg.
Duration of therapy is 3-15 days.
Side effects
Use of drug can cause side effects:
- Allergic reactions: skin itch, small tortoiseshell;
- Others: injections in oil can become the reason of an itch, a hyperemia, hypostasis in an injection site.
Special instructions
Use at children's age is possible only in compliance to the dosing mode.
Medicinal interaction
At simultaneous use increases cardiotonic effect of cardiac glycosides and promotes improvement of their portability.
Terms and storage conditions
To store at the room temperature in unavailable to children, the dry place.
