Laksigal
Application instruction:
Laksigal – the purgative stimulating an intestines peristaltics.
Form of release and structure
Is issued in the form of the drops for intake representing transparent liquid from colourless till weak-yellowy-brown color (on 10 or 25 ml in dark glass bottles droppers, 1 bottle in a pack cardboard).
Active ingredient: sodium пикосульфат, in 1 ml – 7,5 mg.
Additional components: 35% Acidum hydrochloricum, ethylparahydroxysodium benzoate, solution of sorbitol of 70% (uncrystallizable), the water purified.
Indications to use
- Atonic lock;
- Anus cracks, proctitis and hemorrhoids (for regulation of a chair).
Also drug is used by preparation for surgeries, X-ray and tool inspections.
Contraindications
- Abdominal pains of not clear genesis;
- Intestinal impassability;
- Acute inflammatory diseases of abdominal organs;
- Bleedings from digestive tract;
- Peritonitis;
- The restrained hernia;
- Spastic lock;
- Heavy dehydration;
- Cystitis;
- Metrorrhagia;
- I trimester of pregnancy;
- Children's age up to 4 years;
- Hypersensitivity to drug.
Laksigal it is necessary to take with caution during a lactation.
In II and III trimesters of pregnancy drug can be used only on doctor's orders if the expected advantage exceeds possible risks.
Route of administration and dosage
Laksigal it is necessary to accept inside before going to bed, diluting drug in a small amount of water.
The recommended doses:
- Adults and children are more senior than 10 years: till 12-24 drops;
- Children of 4-10 years: till 6-12 drops.
Depending on the gained effect at the subsequent receptions the dose can be increased or reduced.
Side effects
- Abdominal pains;
- Diarrhea;
- Disturbances of water and electrolytic balance;
- Dehydration;
- Lowering of arterial pressure;
- Weakness;
- Spasms.
Special instructions
Children can apply Laksigal strictly on doctor's orders.
Without medical control daily it is necessary to use drug no more than 10 days.
Medicinal interaction
Sodium пикосульфат can increase sensitivity to cardiac glycosides.
Antibacterial drugs of a broad spectrum of activity reduce laxative effect of Laksigal.
At simultaneous use of diuretics or glucocorticosteroids the risk of development of electrolytic disturbances increases.
