Application instruction:
Микролакс – the combined purgative promoting a softening of fecal masses and simplification of their removal from intestines.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form of Mikrolaks – solution for rectal administration: opalescent, viscous, colourless liquid (on 5 ml in microclysters for disposable – a tube polyethylene with a tip with the breaking-off seal on the end; in a pack cardboard 4 microclysters with the application instruction).
Contains in 1 ml of solution:
- Active ingredients: sodium citrate – 0,09 g, sodium laurylsulphoacetate of 70% – 0,0129 g (sodium laurylsulphoacetate – 0,009 g), solution of sorbite of 70% – 0,893 g (sorbite – 0,625 g);
- Excipients: glycerin, sorbic acid, water.
Indications to use
- The complicated, slowed down or systematically insufficient defecation (lock), including with enkoprezy;
- Preparation of intestines for a rektoskopiya (endoscopic research) and roentgenoscopy (X-ray inspection) of digestive tract.
Contraindications
Микролакс it is contraindicated to use at individual hypersensitivity to components.
Route of administration and dosage
The microclyster is applied rektalno:
- Adults and children are more senior than 3 years – 5 ml (all contents of a microclyster) enter, inserting a tip at all length;
- Newborns and children up to 3 years – 5 ml (all contents of a microclyster) enter, inserting a tip at 1/2 lengths, to a mark in it.
It is required to avoid long use of a purgative.
Sequence of use of Mikrolaks:
- On the special line on a tip of a tube to break off a seal;
- To press on a tube so that the drop of liquid greased a microclyster tip, it will facilitate introduction process;
- To enter a microclyster tip (to children up to 3 years – at 1/2 lengths; to children 3 years and the adult – at all length are more senior);
- To squeeze out completely tube contents, squeezing it;
- Continuing to squeeze slightly a microclyster, to take a tip.
Side effects
The undesirable side reactions arising against the background of Mikrolaks's use, revealed during post-registration therapy:
- Alimentary system: very seldom – abdominal pains, discomfort in the field of administration of medicine, diarrhea;
- Allergic answers: very seldom – hypersensitivity (local immune responses, such as a small tortoiseshell).
Special instructions
It is not required to observe additional precautionary measures to pregnant women and the feeding women during Mikrolaks's use.
In case of preservation of problems with defecation throughout a long time the patient should see a doctor.
Unusable or expired medicine cannot be thrown out on the street, allowing hit in sewage. It needs to be packed into a package and to throw out in a garbage container that will help to protect the environment.
Medicinal interaction
In case of simultaneous orally / the rectal use of sorbitol and sodium of polystyrene sulphonate which are a part of drug there is a probability of formation of a necrosis of a large intestine.
