Pradaksa

Pradaksa – the antitrombichesky and anticoagulating drug used in traumatology and orthopedics for prevention of a venous thromboembolism in the postoperative period. The drugs Warfarin, Phenilinum and Markumar – Pradaksa's analogs. In some reviews of Pradaksa it is said that this drug from all known coagulants the most effective and modern.

Drug in solid opaque capsules with a blue cover is produced. In capsules there are pellets of yellow color. Dabigatrana этексилат – the main active ingredient of this medicine.

Pharmacological effect of drug of Pradaks

Effect of drug consists in suppression of activity of thrombin. Dabigatrana этексилат – the low-molecular substance which does not have pharmacological activity. Indications to use of drug of Pradaksa

Application instruction

For prevention of venous thromboembolisms reception of 220 mg of drug is recommended once a day (2 capsules on 110 mg). Patients with a moderate renal failure need to reduce Pradaksa's dose to 150 mg (two capsules on 75 mg).

After endoprosthesis replacement of a knee joint reception of a medicine should be begun in one-four hours after operation. Right after operation it is recommended to accept one capsule of drug a day (110 mg), and then to increase a dose to two capsules every day. The course of reception makes ten days or 28-35 days (after endoprosthesis replacement of a hip joint).

Patients with fibrillation of auricles need to accept Pradaksa twice a day in a daily dose of 300 mg.

Contraindications to Pradaksa's use

According to the instruction, Pradaksa and Pradaksa's analogs cannot be accepted at the known hypersensitivity to any of means components, at heavy degree of a renal failure, at the active clinically significant bleeding pharmacological induced or spontaneous disturbance of a homeostasis. It is not necessary to use drug at abnormal liver functions, malignant new growths, and also at intracraneal hemorrhage in the anamnesis, spine injuries or brain injuries in the anamnesis, a digestive tract ulcer, a gullet varicosity, intracerebral or intraspinal vascular disorders.

Simultaneous use of Pradaksa and antiagregant increases risk of development of bleedings three times. Use of this medicine in a combination with other anticoagulants is contraindicated.

There are no clinical data on effects of reception of this medicine by patients aged up to 18 years.

Precautionary measures

Pradaksa and Pradaksa's analogs should be used with care at the states connected with the increased risk of bleedings. During treatment by drug bleedings of various localization can develop. Decrease in concentration of a hematocrit and/or hemoglobin in blood which is followed by a lowering of arterial pressure is the basis for search of a bleeding point.

Side effect of Pradaksa

In many reviews of Pradaksa it is said that prolonged use of drug for prevention sometimes is followed by emergence of a small tortoiseshell, rash, itch, a bronchospasm, diarrhea, an abdominal pain, dyspepsia. Pradaksa storage conditions

Pradaksa in bottles or blisters is stored at a temperature not above 25 °C. It is necessary to store means no more than three years. After opening of a bottle drug is recommended to be used within a month.
