Stopangin

Stop quinsies - the complex anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antimicrobic medicine applied in stomatology and the LOR-expert. Drug is presented in the following forms: an aerosol for irrigation of an oral cavity, solution for topical administration and a tablet for a rassasyvaniye (Stopangin 2A Forte).

Are Stopangin's part: Hexetidinum, methyl salicylate, complex of natural essential oils (oil of a peppermint, orange tree, anisic, eucalyptus, sassafrasny oils), and also menthol and excipients (including, alcohol).

Pharmacological action

According to the instruction to Stopangin, the main antiseptic component of drug is Hexetidinum - derivative substance of a pyrimidine. Hexetidinum possesses antiviral, antibacterial and fungicidal action, rendering the weak anesthetizing and enveloping effect on mucous membranes. Antibacterial action at Stopangin's use is caused by ability of Hexetidinum to replace thiamin - the substance provoking growth of a bacterial flora. In addition, Hexetidinum breaks synthesis of the substances creating a protective cover of a fungus.

Contraindications

Stop quinsies and analogs are not recommended for use at dry pharyngitis of atrophic type, at children's age up to 8 years (for drug in the form of spray), and also with hypersensitivity to medicine components. Drug is not capable to have direct embriotoksichesky and teratogenic effect, however, Stopangin's use by women whose duration of gestation did not reach 14 weeks, it is undesirable. Treatment by drug in II and III trimesters of pregnancy is possible only according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Side effects
