Alpersa syndrome

Alpersa syndrome (American neurosurgeon V. of J. Alpers, sort. in 1900; synonym: brain polydystrophy progressing) – development in children of spasms, a blindness, a myoclonus, spastic change of a muscle tone, weak-mindedness. Disturbances are connected with degenerative changes of gray matter of a brain, have family character and, presumably, are inherited on autosomal recessively type.
