Andrade indicator

Andrade indicator (American bacteriologist E. P. Andrade, 1872-1906) – a reactant with the content of fuchsin which is added to differential and diagnostic mediums with carbohydrates for the purpose of definition of glycoclastic activity of bacteria. A medium in cases of shift of pH in the acid party is painted in red color.
