Ascarid

Ascarid (Greek askaris, askaridos – an intestinal worm; synonyms: an ascaris, an ascarid) – a type of parasitic nematodes of Spirurida group which live in a small intestine. Ascarids are causative agents of an ascaridosis of the person. Infection occurs when swallowing the eggs which developed in the soil to an invasive stage.
