Brilliant layer of epidermis (stratum lucidum – LNH (The Leningrad histologic nomenclature); synonyms: a vitreous layer of epidermis, a transparent layer of epidermis, an eleidinovy layer of epidermis) – a number of the flat cells which do not have kernels which cytoplasm is filled with eleidin located between horn and granular layers of epidermis.
