Art rose tree – the selection non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for reduction of an inflammation and stopping of a pain syndrome.

Release form

Drug Artrozan is produced in two dosage forms:

• The light yellow cylindrical tablets Artrozan containing 7,5 and 15 mg of a meloksikam. Excipients – lactoses monohydrate, trisodium citrate, magnesium stearate, potato starch, povidone and silicon dioxide colloid. On 20 tablets in planimetric packagings;
• The chartreuse transparent solution for intramuscular introduction containing in 1 ml 6 mg of a meloksikam. In ampoules on 2,5 ml, on 3 and 10 ampoules in packaging.

Pharmacological action of Artrozan

Drug Artrozan has febrifugal, antiinflammatory and analgeziruyushchy effect.

In comparison with non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Artrozan according to reviews improves quality of life in need of long reception of the anesthetizing drugs.

Indications to Artrozan's use

According to the instruction Artrozan apply as symptomatic therapy at treatment:

• Pseudorheumatism;
• Ankylosing spondylarthritis (Bekhterev's disease);
• Osteoarthrosis;
• Other degenerative and inflammatory diseases which are followed by a pain syndrome.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to apply an art rose tree according to the instruction at:

• Aggravation of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum;
• Aspirinova to bronchial asthma;
• Heavy and liver and renal failure;
• Hypersensitivity to active ingredient – a meloksikam or other components of tablets and solution for pricks Artrozan.

The period of a lactation and pregnancy are also contraindications to Artrozan's use. Injections do not apply aged up to 18 years, a tablet – up to 15 years.

Routes of administration

Pricks Artrozan apply only in the first few days treatments once a day 7,5 or 15 ml then treatment is continued by tablets. Because of risk of development of side effects drug is recommended to be used in minimal effective doses. Pricks Artrozan should be entered only intramusculary and it is not recommended to mix drug in one syringe with other medicines.

Pill Artrozan is taken once a day, it is desirable during food. The maximum daily dose – 15 mg. The dosage depends on a disease:

• At an osteoarthrosis take one pill of Artrozan of 7,5 mg, in the absence of effect the dose can be doubled;
• The recommended daily dose at a pseudorheumatism – 15 mg, after improvement it is possible to reduce a dose to 7,5 mg a day;
• At an ankylosing spondylarthritis take one pill of Artrozan of 15 mg a day.

According to the instruction to Artrozan, at overdose pains in epigastriums, consciousness disturbance, nausea, an apnoea, vomiting, an acute renal and liver failure, an asystolia can be shown.

It is necessary to be careful at simultaneous use of Artrozan with anti-hypertensive drugs, a methotrexate, diuretics, cyclosporine, drugs of lithium and some other medicines. The risk of developing of bleedings from digestive tract increases at simultaneous use of Artrozan with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including acetylsalicylic acid.

The art rose tree is applied with care at digestive tract erosive cankers in the anamnesis and at advanced age.

Side effects

The art rose tree, responses confirm, can cause various undesirable effects:

• Aggravation of a course of bronchial asthma and cough;
• Confusion of thoughts, headache, sonitus, dizziness, disorientation and sleep disorder;
• Hamaturia, intersticial nephrite, hypostases, infection of urinary tract, renal medullary necrosis, proteinuria, renal failure;
• Anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia;
• Increase in arterial pressure, tachycardia, feeling of inflows;
• Vomiting and nausea, abdominal pain, esophagitis, stomatitis, diarrhea or lock, perforation of a stomach or intestines, dryness in a mouth. Much more rare Artrozan according to reviews causes a meteorism, hepatitis, colitis and increase in activity of liver enzymes;
• Conjunctivitis and illegibility of sight;
• The increased photosensitivity and fever;
• Anaphylactoid reactions, skin rash, allergic vasculitis, mnogoformny exudative erythema, hypostasis of lips and language, toxic epidermal necrolysis, itch and small tortoiseshell.

Storage conditions

Drug Artrozan is released according to the recipe, a solution period of storage for injections – 5 years, tablets – 2 years.
