M Baralginum

M Baralginum – an analgetic antipyretic. The non-narcotic nonsteroid medicine possessing febrifugal, soothing and weak antiinflammatory action.

Form of release and structure

Baralginum of M is released in shape:

• Tablets of 500 mg in blisters on 10 pieces (in boxes on 1, 2, 5, 10 blisters);
• Solution for injections of 500 mg/ml in ampoules of dark glass on 5 ml (in boxes on 5 ampoules).

Active ingredient of drug - metamizole sodium. Excipients: magnesium stearate of 3 mg, macrogoal of 4000 47 mg.

Indications to use

Baralginum of M it is applied at:

• Pain syndrome of weak and moderate expressiveness (tooth and a headache, neuralgia, pains at arthritis, radiculitis, osteochondrosis, menalgiya);
• Feverish states at inflammatory and infectious diseases (as a part of complex therapy);
• Spasms of smooth muscles (renal, bilious and intestinal gripes).

Contraindications

Drug is contraindicated at:

• Inborn deficit glyukozo-6-dehydrogenase phosphate;
• Hepatic porphyria;
• Bronchial asthma (including the caused reception of salicylates, acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs);
• The diseases which are followed by a bronchospasm;
• Development of anaphylactoid reactions (hypostasis, rhinitis, urticaria) at reception of paracetamol, an ibuprofen, salicylates, diclofenac, Naproxenum, indometacin;
• The expressed hemopoiesis disturbances (infectious and/or cytoplastic neutropenia, agranulocytosis);
• The expressed renal failure and liver;
• Hypersensitivity to metamizol and other components of drug or other pyrazyl ketones (изопропиламинофеназол, phenazone, propyphenazone or phenylbutazone);
• Pregnancies in I and III trimesters.

Drug should not be accepted to children 15 years are younger.

To take with caution, at:

• Systolic arterial pressure below 100 mm of mercury.;
• Unstable blood circulation (multiple injuries, myocardial infarction, shock);
• Renal diseases – a glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, including in the anamnesis.

From 4 to 6 months of pregnancy Baralginum of M is appointed only on strict medical indications.

Chest feeding needs to be stopped for 48 hours from the moment of metamizole sodium reception.

Route of administration and dosage

In the form of tablets:

For adults and children 15 years a single dose are more senior makes 500-1000 mg (1-2 tablets). Maximum daily dose of 3000 mg (6 tablets). It is necessary to accept drug 2-3 times a day, washing down with water.

In the form of solution:

The drug is administered intravenously or intramusculary. For adults and children 15 years a single dose are more senior makes 2-5 ml, intravenous administration of the single dose exceeding 2 ml is admissible only after careful statement of indications. The maximum daily dose – 10 ml. Before an injection solution has to have body temperature.

Side effects

Use of Baralginum of M can become the reason of the following side effects:

• Immune system: allergic reactions, such as a Quincke's edema, a small tortoiseshell, including on mucous membranes of a nasopharynx and a conjunctiva. Are in rare instances possible: Lyell's disease (epidermal toxic necrolysis), Stephens-Johnson's syndrome (malignant exudative erythema), acute anaphylaxis, bronkhospastichesky syndrome;
• Bodies of a hemopoiesis: leukopenia. In rare instances: thrombocytopenia of immune genesis and agranulocytosis;
• Urinary system: anury, oliguria, renal failure, proteinuria. In rare instances: acute intersticial nephrite, coloring of urine in red color (because of release of rubazonovy acid);
• Other: disturbance of a cordial rhythm, decrease in the ABP.

Special instructions

The increased risk of development of hypersensitivity on metamizol at patients is possible with:

• The bronchial asthma (which is especially followed by polyps in nose bosoms);
• Intolerance of alcohol;
• Chronic small tortoiseshell;
• Intolerance of dyes and/or preservatives.

The patient receiving cytostatic means, reception of metamizole sodium has to be carried out only under observation of the doctor.

At long reception of Baralginum of M control of a picture of peripheral blood as there is a probability of development of an agranulocytosis is obligatory. For this reason, immediately it is necessary to cancel administration of drug in a case:

• Unmotivated fervescence;
• Pharyngalgias with swallowing difficulty;
• Fever;
• Erosive canker of an oral cavity, stomatitis;
• Proctitis or vaginitis.

Drug intake in high doses is not recommended to patients with disturbance of work of kidneys and/or a liver.

It is forbidden to use drug for stopping of acute pains in a stomach before clarification of the reason which caused them.
