Tablets: a round form, biconvex, from color, white to white with a yellowish shade (on 14 pieces in blisters, on 1 blister in a cardboard pack);
Cream of 1%: soft, homogeneous, white color (in tubas on 10, 15 and 30 g, on 1 tuba in cardboard packaging).

Active agent – a terbinafina a hydrochloride:

1 tablet – 125 or 250 mg;
1 g of cream – 10 mg.

Excipients:

Tablets: cellulose microcrystallic, starch, povidone, silicon dioxide colloid, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium methylparaben, magnesium stearate, talc, sodium starch glycollate;
Cream: alcohol ketosterilovy, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, methylparaben, ketomacrogoal, изоприлмиристат, sodium acid phosphate, propylparaben, water.

Indications to use

Fungal infections of skin (dermatomycoses);
Mycoses of a pilar part of the head;
The onychomycosis (fungal infections of a nail) caused by mushrooms dermatophytes;
The barmy infections of skin caused by sort Candida mushrooms;
Multi-colored deprive (for cream).

Contraindications

Binafin's use is contraindicated to persons with hypersensitivity to his components, and also children up to 2 years (for tablets) and up to 12 years (for cream).

Purpose of drug to women during pregnancy perhaps only when the potential risk for a fruit is lower than the expected effect of therapy. Terbinafin is allocated with breast milk therefore at medicine reception inside it is necessary to refuse feeding by a breast.

Route of administration and dosage

Binafin in tablets it is necessary to accept 1 time a day.

The single dose is appointed proceeding from the body weight of the patient:

Children with body weight less than 20 kg – 62,5 mg (1/2 tablets on 125 mg);
Children with the body weight from 20 to 40 kg – 125 mg;
Children weighing more than 40 kg and adult – 250 mg.

Dose adjustment of Binafin is not required from elderly patients provided that they have no symptoms of a liver and renal failure.

Duration of therapy depends on disease severity:

Skin infections – 2-6 weeks;
Fungal infections of a pilar part of the head – 4 weeks;
Fungal infections of nail plates – from 6 to 12 weeks.

Cream Binafin is appointed to adults and children of 12 years. Drug is applied on previously cleared and dried up affected areas of skin with the easy massing movements 1-2 times a day. If cream is used for the night, then the site of application can be covered with a gauze bandage. Duration of treatment makes 1-2 weeks.

Side effects

Binafin's use can cause the following by-effects:

Lack of appetite, nausea, abdominal pains, diarrhea, disturbance of flavoring feelings; in rare instances – a liver failure;
Arthralgia, mialgiya;
Agranulocytosis, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia;
Allergic reactions: urticaria, rash, Stephens-Johnson's syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.

At the progressing skin rash treatment by medicine needs to be cancelled.

Special instructions

If at treatment by Binafin the patient has a persistent nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, pain in the field of the right hypochondrium, fatigue, urine darkening, clarification of a chair, then it is necessary to make biochemical analysis of blood on liver enzymes (ALT, nuclear heating plant) and to cancel therapy by this drug. The patient has to know about need of the address to the doctor at emergence of such symptoms.

At patients with an impaired renal function (concentration of creatinine in serum – more than 300 µmol/l) reduction of a drug dose by 50% is recommended.
