Раствор для инъекций 0,02% Гистохром Gistokhr – the antioxidant means applied in ophthalmology and cardiology.

Form of release and structure

Solution for injections of 0,02% (for ophthalmology): transparent, red-brown color (in dark glass ampoules on 1 ml: on 5 or 10 ampoules in a cardboard pack complete with an ampoule knife or the scarificator; on 5 ampoules in blister strip packagings from a PVC film, on 1 or 2 packagings in a cardboard pack complete with an ampoule knife or the scarificator (when using ampoules with an identification point, a ring of a break or a notch the scarificator or a knife do not invest));
Solution for injections of 1% (for cardiology): transparent, brown-black color (in dark glass ampoules on 5 ml: on 5 ampoules in a blister strip packaging, on 1 or 2 packagings in a cardboard pack complete with an ampoule knife; on 5 or 10 ampoules in a cardboard pack complete with an ampoule knife (when using ampoules with an identification point, a ring of a break or a notch the scarificator or a knife do not invest)).

Active ingredient of Gistokhrom – pentahydroxyethylnaphthoquinone:

1 ml of injection solution for ophthalmology – 0,2 mg;
1 ml of injection solution for cardiology – 10 mg.

Auxiliary components:

Solution for injections of 0,02%: sodium carbonate, solution of sodium of chloride of 0,9%;
Solution for injections of 1%: sodium a carbonate, water for injections.

Indications to use

In ophthalmology (complex therapy):

Diabetic retinopathy of a retina;
Primary open angle glaucoma;
Retinal apoplexy, vitreous or anterior chamber;
Distsirkulyatorny disturbance in the central artery and a vein of a retina;
Dystrophic diseases of a cornea and retina, macular degeneration.

In cardiology by Gistokhr it is applied to treatment of an acute myocardial infarction (in a combination with thrombolytic drugs).

Contraindications

Gistokhrom's use is contraindicated to children and teenagers up to 18 years, and also to patients with existence of hypersensitivity to drug components.

Due to the lack of data on safety of use of medicine during pregnancy and a lactation, during these periods it is not recommended to appoint Gistokhr.

Route of administration and dosage

Solution for injections of 0,02%

By Gistokhr it is intended for parabulbar and subconjunctival introduction.

To adult patients appoint 0,3-0,5 ml of solution daily or every other day. The therapeutic course consists of 5-10 injections. If there is a need, in 3-4 months the course of treatment is repeated.

Solution for injections of 1%

Gistokhr enter intravenously within at least 3 minutes.

Just before introduction of 50-100 mg of drug (respectively 1 or 2 ampoules) dilute 20 ml of solution of sodium of chloride of 0,9%. In the same dose perhaps repeated introduction within a day.

If necessary by Gistokhr it can be entered intravenously kapelno, for this purpose 50-100 ml of drug (1-2 ampoules) dilute 100 ml of solution of sodium of chloride of 0,9%.

Side effects

At parabulbar and subconjunctival use:

Moderate morbidity in the place of a prick;
Local allergic reactions.

At intravenous drop infusion morbidity on the vein course is possible (without the subsequent development of phlebitis). In the first 2 days coloring of urine in dark red color is observed. Allergic reactions are not excluded.

Medicinal interaction

Gistokhr it is impossible to mix with the drugs containing salts of iron, calcium, and also a squirrel.

Terms and storage conditions

To store at a temperature from 8 to 25 ºС in the dark place unavailable to children.

Period of validity of solution of 0,02% – 2 years, solution of 1% – 3 years.
