Principles of a cholesteric diet

The diet can be less (1 step) or more strict (the 2nd step).

Step number 1. The general content of fats in a diet should not exceed 30% of all caloric content, saturated fatty acids – 10% of all caloric content, daily intake of cholesterol should not be more than 300 mg. Daily consumption of meat and fish limit up to 180 grams (no more than 90 grams in one step of food). From meat carefully cut off fat, skin a bird. Exclude butter and firm grades of margarine. Milk, kefir, cottage cheese are allowed only fat-free. Vegetable oil has to be present at the menu of a cholesteric diet. No more than 10% of caloric content of a daily diet have to fall to its share. Completely it is necessary to exclude an egg yolk and an offal (a liver, kidneys, brains). Carbohydrates have to make 55-60% of all food. Preference is given to the products rich with cellulose (fruit, vegetables, bread, toasts, muesli, porridges and other products from whole grain). It is possible to adhere to a diet of a step number 1 of a cholesteric diet 6-12 weeks. If results suit you, then it is worth passing to the balanced healthy food on age further. If decrease in cholesterol in blood did not happen, then it is necessary to pass to a step number 2 of a cholesteric diet. In this case the general content of fats remains the same, and the content of saturated fatty acids decreases to 7% of caloric content of a diet, and cholesterol – to 200 mg a day. Menu of a cholesteric diet

It is worth eating several times a day, small portions. Eat slowly, carefully chew food. Is in front of the TV, the computer does not recommend. The approximate menu of a cholesteric diet looks as follows:

  • Breakfast (1 option): a glass of the fat-free kefir, grain bread, boiled carrots;
  • Breakfast (2nd option): a glass of freshly squeezed juice from any fruit. Cottage cheese of 5% 150 grams;
  • Breakfast (3rd option): boiled haricot of 100 grams and grain bread of 25 grams;
  • Lunch (1 option): boiled chicken meat of 90 grams. Grain bread of 25 grams. Vegetables with vegetable oil;
  • Lunch (2nd option): low-fat cheese of 50 grams. Grain bread of 25 grams. Vegetables with spices;
  • Lunch (3rd option): pollock of 90 grams. Boiled potatoes of 100 grams. Apple;
  • Dinner (1 option): fast buckwheat cereal of 50 grams. Chicken of 90 grams. Cabbage vegetable oil salad;
  • Dinner (2nd option): skim cheese of 200 grams. Apple. Grain bread of 25 grams;
  • Dinner (3rd option): potatoes of boiled 100 grams. Boiled fish of 90 grams. Orange.

You can use various options of breakfasts, lunches and dinners within a week. For an afternoon snack and the second breakfast always eat vegetables and fruit. If you very much want some sweet – take those confectionery which do not contain fats. For example, it is possible to eat a honey spoon, either one zephyr, or 50 grams of fruit jelly.
