Гель Катеджель с лидокаиномKatedzhel with lidocaine – drug for topical administration with antiseptic and anesthetic effect.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – gel for topical administration: almost colourless or colourless transparent liquid (on 12,5 g in the polypropylene corrugated syringe, in the blister 1 syringe, in a cardboard box of 5 or 25 blisters).

Content of active agents in 100 g of gel:

  • Hlorgeksidina dihydrochloride – 0,05 g;
  • Lidocaine a hydrochloride – 2 g.

Auxiliary components: глицерол, a gietelloza (hydroxyethylcellulose), water for injections.

Indications to use

  • Stopping of the symptoms of an inflammation proceeding with a pain syndrome, a mucous membrane of the cervical channel, a vagina, an urethra and a rectum as a part of complex therapy;
  • Anesthesia and prevention of an infection during the carrying out endoscopic diagnosis, replacement of fistulous catheters, intubations, operative measures at adults and children in gynecology, urology, a proctology.

Contraindications

Katedzhel's use with lidocaine is contraindicated to patients with hypersensitivity to drug components.

With care it is recommended to apply gel in the I trimester of pregnancy.

In case of use during breastfeeding it is necessary within 12 hours after use to abstain from feeding by a breast.

Route of administration and dosage

Gel is intended for topical administration.

Instillation is carried out by the doctor or specially trained medical staff with observance of rules of an asepsis.

For administration of drug it is necessary to remove after opening of the blister paper from the transparent case, it is desirable only to a banner and, without making considerable effort, to completely break off a tip.

It is necessary to be convinced of lack of the remains of roughnesses on the line of a break not to allow damage of a mucous surface. Then, previously having squeezed out a gel drop, the syringe is entered into a cavity and by means of easy tightening gel is squeezed out. After instillation the syringe in the compressed state should be withdrawn.

The procedure should be carried out in 5-10 minutes prior to introduction of tools.

Side effects

With hypersensitivity use of gel can cause side effects in patients:

  • Development of allergic reactions in the form of skin rash, allergic dermatitis, a Quincke's disease;
  • Burning in the place of application.

Special instructions

Gel is sterile, contents of the syringe are intended for one-time introduction.

Medicinal interaction

Simultaneous use with medicines of cationic group is allowed (a benzalkoniya chloride).

The anesthetic effect of lidocaine is strengthened by monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

Use of drug cannot be combined with iodine drugs, soap, anionic detergents (sodium lauryl sulfate, saponins, sodium carboxymethylcellulose).

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the place protected from light at a temperature from 15 to 25 °C. To protect from children.

Period of validity – 5 years.
