Corvalol
Application instruction:
Corvalol – drug with sedative (soothing) effect.
Pharmacological action
Corvalol is the combined means which components cause its action: phenobarbital, ethyl ether of acid alpha бромизовалериановой, peppermint oil.
In general drug renders calming and spasmolytic, reflex vazodilatiruyushchy (expanding vessels) action, improves natural backfilling.
Release form
Produce Corvalol in tablets, in the form of drops for internal use.
Indications to Corvalol use
As the means calming and expanding vessels appoint Corvalol according to indications: tachycardia is sinus, a cardialgia, supertension, sleeplessness, lability vegetative, neurotic states, a hypochiondrial syndrome, irritability.
Intestinal and bilious gripes – one more indication of Corvalol, thanks to its spasmolytic action.
Contraindications
According to the instruction it is impossible to appoint Corvalol at heavy insufficiency renal, hepatic, during a lactation, hypersensitivity. During pregnancy drug is used with care.
During therapy it is necessary to observe the increased care during the driving of transport, control of mechanisms, the occupations activity demanding speed of reaction, concentration of attention.
Application instruction of Corvalol
Internal use of Corvalol before food, on 15-30kap is shown., two-three р / day. Before reception of a drop dissolve in 30-50ml waters.
According to the instruction Corvalol a single dose at tachycardia, vascular spasms can be increased to 30-40kap.
To children appoint to accept on 3-15kap.
Treatment duration in each case is determined by Corvalol by indications individually.
Corvalol in tablets is accepted on one, two tablets before food by two-three р / days. At tachycardia it is possible to accept up to three tablets for once.
Side effects
Use of Corvalol can cause dizziness, reduction of a heart rhythm, ability to concentration of attention, drowsiness, an allergy.
Long therapy by drug can lead to accustoming, dependence, a bromism, a syndrome of "cancellation".
The overdose by Corvalol is shown in oppression of a nervous system, pressure decrease, an ataxy, a nystagmus, chronic poisoning with bromine (rhinitis, diathesis hemorrhagic, a depression, disturbances of motive coordination, apathy, conjunctivitis).
Treat overdose by Corvalol by means of simtomatichesky therapy. At oppression of a nervous system Nikethamidum, caffeine is shown.
