Tablets, film coated: an oval form, almost white or white color, with the squeezed-out marking of Y on one of the parties (on 7 or 10 pieces in blisters, in a cardboard pack 1 or 2 blisters);
Drops for intake: poorly opalescent colourless liquid (on 10 or 20 ml in glass bottles of dark color with a dropper, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle).

The operating component – a levotsetirizina dihydrochloride:

1 tablet – 5 mg;
1 ml of drops – 5 mg.

Excipients:

Tablets: cellulose microcrystallic, lactoses monohydrate, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide colloid;
Drops: sodium acetate, propylene glycol, глицерол 85%, sodium saccharinate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, methylparahydroxybenzoate, the acetic acid, water purified.

In addition as a part of a film cover of tablets: опадрай Y-1-7000 (macrogoal 400, titanium dioxide (E171), gipromelloz).

Indications to use

Ksizal's use is shown for symptomatic therapy of diseases and conditions of allergic genesis:

Allergic rhinitis seasonal (intermittent) and year-round (persistent);
Pollinosis, or hay fever;
Allergic conjunctivitis with characteristic symptoms in the form of an itch, a congestion of a nose and sneezing, a rhinorrhea, a hyperemia of a conjunctiva, dacryagogue;
The allergic dermatosis proceeding with an itch and rashes;
Small tortoiseshell, including a chronic idiopathic small tortoiseshell;
Quincke's edema.

Contraindications

Terminal (final) stage of a renal failure (at the clearance of creatinine (CC) it is less than 10 ml/min.);
Period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
Individual hypersensitivity to drug components.

With care it is recommended to appoint drug sick with a chronic renal failure (dose adjustment is necessary) and to patients of advanced age with pathology of age decrease in glomerular filtering.

Ksizal's use in the form of tablets is contraindicated to patients at a galactosemia or a heavy lactose intolerance, and to children up to 6 years.

Drops cannot be applied to treatment of children under 2 years.

Route of administration and dosage

The xyhall in the form of tablets and a thaw is accepted inside on an empty stomach or during food.

Tablets should be swallowed entirely, washing down with enough water.

Drops can be parted just before reception with a small amount of water.

The recommended dosing for children over 6 years and adults: 1 tablet or 20 drops (5 mg) of 1 times a day.

Children from 2 to 6 years should accept 5 drops 2 times a day.

And advanced age correction of a daily dose is necessary for patients with a renal failure.

The recommended dosing for patients with a renal failure: easy degree (KK of 50-79 ml/min.) – a dose is not changed, average degree (KK of 30-49 ml/min.) – the patient appoint 5 mg in days of 1 times in 2 days; heavy degree (KK is less than 30 ml/min.) – on 5 mg in days of 1 times in 3 days.

The dosing mode for patients with abnormal liver functions does not need correction.

Duration of treatment depends on clinical indications. At a pollinosis it is necessary to accept drug 1-6 weeks (on average), at chronic diseases (atopic dermatitis, year-round rhinitis) – 18 months.

Side effects

Ksizal's use can cause side effects:

From cardiovascular system: very seldom – tachycardia;
From a nervous system: infrequently – fatigue, drowsiness and a headache; seldom – the general weakness; very seldom – excitement, aggression, spasms, a depression, a vision disorder, hallucinations;
From respiratory system: very seldom – an asthma (диспноэ);
From a metabolism: very seldom – increase in body weight;
From the alimentary system: infrequently – dryness in an oral cavity; seldom – an abdominal pain; very seldom – diarrhea, nausea, change of functional trials of a liver, hepatitis;
From a musculoskeletal system: very seldom – a mialgiya;
Allergic reactions: very seldom – rash, a skin itch, a small tortoiseshell, an anaphylaxis, a Quincke's disease.

Special instructions

During treatment with care it is recommended to treat alcohol intake.

Use of drug in the recommended doses does not cause the undesirable effects influencing ability of the patient to control of vehicles and mechanisms. Despite it, during treatment it is necessary to avoid potentially dangerous types of activity which performance demands concentration of attention and high speed of psychomotor reactions.
