Odeston
Application instruction:
Odeston – the cholagogue drug having also the selection spasmolytic effect concerning Oddi's sphincter and bilious channels. Does not reduce the arterial pressure and a peristaltics of digestive tract.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – tablets: round, a ploskotsilindrichesky form, from color, white to white with a yellowish shade, on one of the parties – an engraving of "Ch" and a facet (on 10 or 50 pieces in the blister, in a cardboard pack respectively 5 or 1 blister).
Active ingredient: гимекромон, its contents in 1 tablet – 200 mg.
Additional components: gelatin, potato starch, magnesium stearate.
Indications to use
- Loss of appetite, lock, nausea, vomiting owing to bile hyposecretion;
- Not calculous chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, cholangitis;
- Dyskinesia of a sphincter of Oddi and biliary tract on hyperkinetic type;
- State after operative measures on biliary tract and a gall bladder.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- Disease Krone;
- Impassability of biliary tract;
- Ulcer colitis;
- Liver and renal failure;
- Peptic ulcer of a stomach and 12-perstny gut;
- Hemophilia;
- Age up to 18 years;
- Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.
Because of insufficiency of data on safety of use during pregnancy and a lactation Odeston can be appointed only in those cases if the expected advantage for the woman exceeds potential risks for the fruit/child.
Route of administration and dosage
Odeston it is necessary to accept inside in 30 minutes prior to meal.
Depending on a state appoint 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
Duration of therapy makes 2 weeks.
Side effects
- From the alimentary system: abdominal pains, meteorism, diarrhea, ultseration of a mucous membrane of digestive tract;
- Others: headache and allergic reactions.
Special instructions
Odeston does not exert a negative impact on the speed of reactions and ability to concentration of attention therefore it can be applied to treatment of people regardless of the sphere of their activity.
Medicinal interaction
Morphine reduces effect of a gimekromon as causes a spasm of a sphincter of Oddi.
At simultaneous use of Metoclopramidum mutual decrease in efficiency of both drugs is noted.
Gimekromon strengthens effect of indirect anticoagulants.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the place unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
