Oncology
The oncology is a section of medicine which is devoted to studying, treatment and prevention of tumoral diseases. A tumor - the pathological education in an organism consisting of the cells which lost structures and properties inherent in them and began uncontrolled growth. The malignant tumor causes destruction of fabrics and formation of the toxic products of a necrosis poisoning an organism therefore the diseases which are characterized by formation of malignant tumors have a heavy current.
In oncology early and exact diagnosis has huge value. Danger of tumors consists that at the first, curable stages they "are usually silent" and do not cause disturbance. Therefore it is necessary to show oncological vigilance, and at emergence of the first signs of development of a tumor to see a doctor. It is important to have medical examinations regularly.
Malignant tumors in the started stages are considered as incurable. At initial stages of development, a tumor will quite respond to treatment. Treatment of oncological diseases is performed first of all surgically as addition to operation are used administration of drugs, the cells suppressing growth – tsitostatik, and the radiation therapy based that atypical cells are subject to destruction from influence of those doses of radiation which are rather harmless to healthy cells. Complex use of all three methods usually allows to cope with the illness successfully.
