Osteokea

Osteokea – the combined vitamin and mineral complex regulating the phosphorus-calcium exchange accelerating a mineralization of a bone tissue and formation of a bone callosity, supporting a bone homeostasis and cordial activity.

Form of release and structure

Dosage forms of Osteokea:

• Tablets: white color, oval, flat, without cover, with a bilateral facet, on one of the parties a text of "Osteocare", on other party a text of "W" – a logo of firm (on 15 pieces in the blister from polypropylene covered with aluminum foil, 2 blisters in a pack cardboard);
• Solution for intake (on 200 ml in bottles, 1 bottle in a pack cardboard).

Contain in 1 tablet:

• Active ingredients: calcium a carbonate – 1000 mg (calcium – 400 mg), magnesium hydroxide – 372 mg (magnesium – 150 mg), zinc sulfate 7H20 - 22 of mg (zinc – 5 mg), колекальциферол – 0,0025 mg (_{D3 vitamin} – 100 ME);
• Auxiliary components: karmelloza of sodium, corn starch, potato starch, magnesium silicate.

In 5 ml of solution active ingredients contain: calcium (in the form of carbonate calcium) – 150 mg, magnesium (in the form of hydroxide magnesium) – 75 mg, zinc (in the form of gluconate zinc) – 3 mg, _{D3 vitamin} (колекальциферол) – 0,0019 mg.

Indications to use

The Osteoke is accepted for correction and prevention of deficit of minerals and _{DZ vitamin}.

Contraindications

Tablets
Absolute contraindications for reception of tablets:

• Hypervitaminosis of D;
• Hypercalcemia;
• Hypercalcuria;
• The decalcifying new growths (myeloma, sarcoidosis, bone metastasises);
• Calcic нефроуролитиаз;
• Osteoporosis, owing to an immobilization;
• The renal osteodystrophy which is followed by a hyperphosphatemia;
• Thyrotoxicosis (increases probability of allergic reactions);
• Fenilketonuriya (because of the content in aspartame drug);
• Hypersensitivity to components.

Relative (the tablet is taken with caution as the risk of complications is increased):

• Atherosclerosis;
• Hyperphosphatemia;
• Hypothyroidism;
• Pulmonary tuberculosis in an active form;
• Diseases of the digestive tract (DT), including stomach ulcer and a 12-perstny gut;
• Organic lesions of heart;
• Heart failure;
• Renal failure;
• Phosphatic нефроуролитиаз;
• Chronic and acute diseases of kidneys and liver;
• Period of pregnancy and breastfeeding (lactation).

Solution for intake
Contraindications to use of solution are: a hypercalcemia, a diabetes mellitus, individual hypersensitivity to components.

Route of administration and dosage

Tablets
Pill is taken inside during food or after meal, without chewing, washing down 200 ml of water.

The recommended dosing mode – on 2 pieces a day for 1 reception, or 2 times a day on 1 piece.

As components of Osteokea at a lactation get into breast milk, and the calcium surplus at pregnancy can become a cause of infringement of intellectual and physical fetation, the recommended total daily dose during this period: _{vitamin D3 ≤600 ME}, calcium – 1500 mg.

At advanced age in days it is necessary: calcium – 1500 mg, _{DZ vitamin} – 500-1000 ME.

Solution for intake
Solution is accepted inside during food.

The recommended dosing mode for adults and children is more senior than 6 years – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 2 times a day. A therapy course – 2-3 weeks.

Side effects

Possible side effects of Osteokea: anorexia, mialgiya, arthralgia, headache, hyperphosphatemia, hypercalcuria, hypercalcemia, lock, stomach ache, diarrhea, arrhythmias, increase in arterial pressure, polyuria, renal failure, hypersensitivity reactions.

At overdose disorders of function of the digestive tract (DT) are possible. Symptomatic therapy, the termination of administration of drug and consultation of the doctor is recommended.

Special instructions

In case of continuous reception of a vitamin and mineral complex for several months it is periodically necessary to define concentration in blood serum of calcium and phosphorus for the purpose of an exception of a hyperphosphatemia and a chronic hypervitaminosis _{of D3}.

Patients with damage of bones of renal genesis for prevention of development of a hyperphosphatemia of Osteokea can appoint in a complex with fosfatsvyazyvayushchy means.

During therapy it is necessary to control constantly indicators of removal of calcium with urine; at emergence of a calciuria (if amount of the calcium emitted in days ≥ 7,5 mmol (300 mg)) it is required to lower a drug dose, or to stop reception.

Medicinal interaction

• The antacids containing magnesium and aluminum – against the background of long therapy their concentration in blood and risk of intoxication, especially at patients with a chronic renal failure increases;
• Barbiturates – increase biotransformation speed;
• Vitamin A – reduces toxicity;
• Kolestipol, Colestyraminum, mineral oils – reduce absorption of the GITs fat-soluble vitamins B and demand increase in their dosage;
• Calcitonin, пликамицин, glucocorticosteroids, derivatives of pamidronovy and etidronovy acids, gallium nitrate – reduce effect of Osteokea;
• Cardiac glycosides – their toxicity increases;
• Thiazide diuretics – increase risk of a hypercalcemia;
• Phenytoinum – increases biotransformation speed, reducing efficiency;
• Phosphorus drugs – their absorption and risk of formation of a hyperphosphatemia increases;
• Other analogs _{of D3 vitamin} – the risk of development of a hypervitaminosis increases.

It is required to observe a time interval in need of combined use: from sodium fluoride – ≥ 2 hours, with peroral forms of tetracyclines – ≥ 3 hours.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.

Period of validity: tablets – 4 years, solution for intake – 2 years.
