Капсулы вагинальные Полижинакс Полижинакс – the combined drug with antifungal and antibacterial action, active concerning many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, having fungicidal effect on sort Candida mushrooms, improving trophic processes in a mucous membrane of a vagina. It is inefficient concerning anaerobic bacteria and Streptococcus spp. It is applied in gynecology.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – capsules vaginal: soft, an oval form, from pale yellow till beige color; inside – semi-fluid homogeneous mass from yellow till brown color (in blisters on 6 pieces, 1 or 2 blisters in a pack cardboard).

Active agents as a part of 1 capsule:

Nystatin – 100 000 IU (international units);
Polymyxin B sulfate – 35 000 ME;
Neomycinum sulfate – 35 000 ME.

Additional components: the oil soy hydrogenated, Tefoz 63, диметикон 1000.

Structure of a capsular cover: gelatin, глицерол, диметикон 1000.

Indications to use

Vaginal capsules of Polizhinaks – drug for treatment of the infectious and inflammatory gynecologic diseases caused by microorganisms, sensitive to a combination of its active ingredients:

Tservikovaginita;
Vulvovaginitis;
Fungal vaginita;
Nonspecific vaginita;
The mixed vaginita.

Also Polizhinaks is applied to prevention of infectious complications in the following cases:

Before intrauterine diagnostic procedures;
Before and after diathermocoagulation of a neck of uterus;
Before childbirth;
Before operational gynecologic interventions.

Contraindications

Absolute:

I trimester of pregnancy;
Feeding period breast;
Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.

In II and III trimesters of pregnancy of Polizhinaks it can be applied strictly on doctor's orders after careful assessment of a ratio of advantage and risks.

Route of administration and dosage

Полижинакс it is intended for intravaginalny use. The drug should be administered deeply in a vagina in a dorsal decubitus on 1 capsule of 1 times a day, before going to bed.

Duration of therapeutic use – 12 days, preventive – 6 days.

In case of the admission of the next use it is not necessary to double a dose, it is necessary to continue use of drug according to the usual scheme.

Side effects

Local reactions: irritation, itch, burning;
Allergic reactions, including allergic contact erythema.

At prolonged use of Polizhinaks there is a probability of emergence of the system side effects inherent to aminoglycosides.

Special instructions

Полижинакс it is applied only after capture of a smear and carrying out the bacteriological analysis.

In order to avoid emergence of risk of reinfection and formation of stability to drug of separate causative agents of diseases terms of treatment have to be limited.

For the period of periods it is not necessary to interrupt a therapy course.

In case of the side effects specified in the instruction or development of other undesirable reactions it is necessary to report about it to the attending physician.

During Polizhinaks's use it is not recommended to use latex contraceptives (condoms and caps).

Cases of a negative impact of drug on the speed of reactions and ability to concentration of attention are unknown.
