The striped diet is popular thanks to efficiency and availability of a key product in its menu – kefir. This power supply system represents alternation of kefiric days and days with a usual diet, but with reduced caloric content.
This diet – a find for those who faced so-called effect of the plateau on other diets. Usually during weight loss weight decreases, but sometimes the arrow of scales stops on a certain indicator and does not move, despite a scanty diet. It is explained by the natural reason: the organism decides that weight reached a critical point and tries to keep it.
During a striped diet the periods of active reduction of amount of nutrients (kefiric) make only one day that prevents transition of an organism to the "emergency" mode of deduction of weight. Thus, regular loss of weight and impossibility of emergence of effect of the plateau is provided.
There are several options of a striped diet. One of them suggests to alternate within 7 days kefiric days (only kefir is resolved) with days of usual food to reduced caloric content.
One more popular option – a diet for 21 days during which do kefiric every third day, and two other days – low-calorie. Such "strips" for three days repeat 7 times.
For those it is difficult for whom to sustain day only on kefir there is an option of a striped diet in which during kefiric day a small amount of other products is in addition used. At strong feeling of hunger in kefiric day it is possible to eat two vegetable or fruit, for example, cucumbers or apples. Such power supply system is expected 21 days and carries the name of a striped diet "for hungry".
On a diet it is necessary to drink fresh kefir (not longer than 3 days from the moment of packaging) with a short period of validity.
During usual days of a striped diet it is possible to eat usual food, except for high-calorific and harmful. It is necessary to give preference to crude vegetables and fruit, freshly cooked food. It is better if food undergoes the minimum heat treatment. Meat, a bird, fish and vegetables is recommended to be cooked in a double boiler or on a grill. Is 5-6 times a day in the small portions are necessary.

During a striped diet for 21 days "for hungry" in kefiric day porridge, several fruit (except grapes and bananas) and one proteinaceous product (chicken breast or low-fat fish) is in addition allowed.
In kefiric days it is forbidden to use all products which were not included into the list of resolved.
In usual days fried food, fast food, semi-finished products, bread from white flour, rich pastries and any sweets, and also alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
The menu of a striped diet for 7 days:

During a striped diet for 21 days "for hungry" the diet of usual days does not differ from stated above. Menu of kefiric day:

Council 1. On a diet it is necessary to drink fresh kefir (not longer than 3 days from the moment of packaging) with a short period of validity.

Council 4. On a striped diet the use of tea without sugar (to 5 cups a day) and morning coffee, but without sugar and milk is allowed.

Council 6. To avoid bystry return of the dumped kilograms after the termination of a striped diet, it is necessary to adhere within two weeks to a low-calorie diet (no more than 1500 kcal a day), gradually raising it to norm.
