Sparflo - antibacterial drug of group of ftorkhinolon.

Structure and form of release of Sparflo

Sparflo is issued in the form of coated tablets.

One tablet contains 200 mg of a sparfloksatsin. Excipients: magnesium stearate, cellulose microcrystallic, starch corn, talc, кросповидон, silicon dioxide colloid. The cover consists from: titanium dioxide, gipromelloza, talc, propylene glycol, dye of quinolinic yellow.

Pharmacological action and Sparflo's pharmacokinetics

Sparflo – bactericidal antimicrobic drug with a broad spectrum of activity treats group of ftorkhinolon. Inhibits DNK-girazu microorganisms, interferes with replication of bacterial DNA. Has bactericidal effect on gram-positive organisms during division, and also on gram-negative – during division and during a dormant period.

Sparflo blocks a transcription of genetic materials of bacteria without which their normal metabolism is impossible owing to what there is a bystry decline in the ability of bacteria to division. When using drug of Sparflo development of cross resistance to the other antibiotics which are not relating to group of DNK-girazy inhibitors is not revealed. This quality does to Sparflo highly active in relation to bacteria steady against penicillin, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, cephalosporins.

Unlike Sparflo's analogs has post-antimicrobic effect – bacteria do not breed within 0.5 - 4 hours after a full exit of drug from plasma.

After internal reception of Sparflo it is absorbed approximately for 90%. At a dose in 400 mg, the maximum concentration in a blood plasma occurs in 3-6 hours, concentration of drug in fabrics at 2-12 times more than in plasma. Concentration in blood serum linearly depends on the size of the accepted dose

Sparflo's acceptance with food or milk does not influence extent of absorption, but its speed and the maximum concentration in blood slows down steps approximately on half an hour later.

Sparflo is well distributed on body tissues, except fabrics rich with fats and nervous tissues. High degree of concentration comes to light in alveolar macrophages.

Sparfloksatsin is metabolized in a liver and about 40% are removed with a stake. The elimination half-life makes 16-30 hours.

At patients with a renal failure increase of an elimination half-life is observed. Decrease in percent of a conclusion through kidneys, in the presence of a chronic renal failure is also defined.

Indications

Sparflo's drug is shown at the infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to drug.

• respiratory infection and lungs;
• infections of ENT organs;
• eye infections;
• infections of urinary tract and kidneys;
• sexually transmitted infections;
• infections of an abdominal cavity;
• digestive tract infections;
• skin infections;
• infections of joints and bones;
• tuberculosis;
• leprosy.

Contraindications

Drug is contraindicated at:

• epilepsies;
• arrhythmias with the extended QT interval;
• heavy renal failure;
• pregnancies and lactations;
• for children and teenagers 18 years are younger;
• hypersensitivity to drug.

Sparflo's dosage and application instruction

Duration of therapy depends on disease severity, a clinical picture and results of a bacteriological research.

At pneumonia or chronic bronchitis in an aggravation stage drug is accepted according to the following scheme - in the first day of 400 mg of Sparflo by a single dose, in the next 10 days on 200 mg a day. At sinusitis and other infections of ENT organs, the similar scheme.

At Sparflo's tuberculosis it is appointed as a part of complex therapy, in the 1st day 400 mg a single dose, in the next days on 200 mg a day, a course - 30 days are appointed.

At an infection of urinary tract in 1 day accept 200 mg one-time, further on 100 mg a day, a course of 10-14 days

At a gonorrheal urethritis in an acute form in the 1st day of 400 mg one-time, further each 24 hours – 200 mg. A dose for a course – 600 mg.

At an urethritis not gonococcal in the 1st day of 200 mg one-time, further on 100 mg every day within 6 days.

At chlamydial infections and at bacterial prostatitis in the 1st day of 400 mg, then on 200 mg a day. A course – 10-14 days.

At infections of soft tissues and skin infections in the 1st day of 400 mg, then on 200 mg a day. Course of 3-9 days.

It is necessary to swallow of tablets, without cracking and without chewing, washing down with liquid.

Medicinal interaction of Sparflo

According to Sparflo's responses being combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, increases danger of development of spasms. It is necessary to consider that Sparflo extends an interval of QT and not to appoint it with drugs with similar effect. At Sparflo's combination to analogs from among antimicrobic drugs, summing of their effect is usually observed.

Pregnancy and lactation

According to Sparflo's instruction it is contraindicated to pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Side effects

Practical reviews of Sparflo showed possible manifestation of the following side effects – a loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, dyspepsia, hepatitis, dizziness, a headache, fatigue, drowsiness, increase in intracranial pressure, a hallucination, rushes of blood to face skin, a syncope, disturbance of works of sense bodys, fibrinferments of cerebral arteries, lengthening of an interval of QT, a skin itch, a face edema and throats, medicinal fever, an asthma, the increased sweating, a hyperglycemia.

In case of overdose symptomatic therapy is recommended, on the general indications appoint peritoneal dialysis and a hemodialysis. There is no antidote.

Conditions and Sparflo period of storage

Sparflo is stored in the dry, protected from light place unavailable to children, at a temperature which is not exceeding 25 °C. A period of validity - 3 years.
