Tempalgin – the combined anesthetizing and febrifugal drug.

Pharmacological action of Tempalgin

Metamizole sodium and anxiolytic темпидон are Tempalgin's part non-narcotic analgesic. Metamizole sodium blocks functions of cyclooxygenases 1 and 2 of type which participate in formation of prostaglandins – pro-inflammatory connections with the pyrogenic orientation. Also metamizole sodium is capable to stabilize membranes of cells and to oppress synthesis of own pyrogens. These properties allow drug to render rather strong febrifugal, anesthetizing and moderate antiinflammatory action.

Tempidon has anxiolytic effect, irritating with the central N-holinoretseptory. It eliminates fear, tension, positively influencing an emotional component of pain. Tempidon as a part of Tempalgin extends the anesthetizing effect of metamizole sodium and potentsiirut it, strengthening by 2 – 3 times. Both components of this drug are well soaked up from a digestive tract, are exposed to transformation in a liver to metabolites and are removed, generally with urine.

Release form

Drug Tempalgin is produced in tablets, coated. 1 tablet contains 500 mg of metamizole sodium and 20 mg of a tempidon.

Indications to Tempalgin's use

Tempalgin according to the instruction apply in case of fever at infectious and inflammatory diseases as auxiliary anesthetic after diagnostic manipulations or operative measures. There are indications to Tempalgin in cases of weak visceral pains in a complex with antispasmodics, for example, hepatic, renal intestinal gripes, etc. Patients give positive reviews about Tempalgin at a moderate or mild pain – tooth, head, muscular, joint, at painful periods, including at patients with the increased nervousness.

Contraindications

Tempalgin according to the instruction it is impossible to use at his intolerance, at some diseases of blood with oppression of sprouts of a hemopoiesis (a leukopenia, an agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia), a liver (an acute hepatic porphyria, a liver failure, some hereditary fermentopatiya), kidneys (renal failure). It is important to consider also such contraindications to Tempalgin as lowered (it is less than 100 mm of mercury.) arterial pressure, the 1 and 3 trimesters of pregnancy, the feeding period a breast (medicine well gets through a placenta and into breast milk). Tempalgin's use for children up to 14 years is not recommended.

Application instruction of Tempalgin

If there are indications to Tempalgin, he is accepted inside after food, washing down with enough liquid. The recommended dose for adults - 1 tablet 3 – 4 times a day (Tempalgin's use in a dosage of 6 tablets in days is most admissible). Children from 14 years can accept on 1 tablet 2 times a day. If dental intervention is planned, in 30 minutes prior to the procedure it is possible to take 1 pill of this means. As any anesthetic and an antipyretic, without medical control of the patient it is longer impossible to use drug 3 – 5 days. At ORZ if the anamnesis of the patient is not burdened by spasms, the indication to Tempalgin will be body temperature from 38,5 °C and above.

Tempalgin's list is incompatible with alcohol. Also it is not necessary to use at the same time at reception of this drug colloid blood substitutes, penicillin, X-ray contrast means, cytostatic drugs.

Drug is not recommended for course reception, it is necessary to cancel it at once as soon as an opportunity appears. In case of reception longer than 7 days control of blood tests and function of a liver is obligatory.

Contraindication to Tempalgin is also the acute pain in a stomach before detection of its reasons (against the background of anesthesia it is possible to pass clinic of an acute abdomen).

Drug can reduce concentration of attention and speed of response, during its reception it is not recommended to be engaged in perhaps dangerous types of works.

Side effects of Tempalgin

Tempalgin according to the instruction has a number of undesirable effects. It oppresses a hemopoiesis and can cause an agranulocytosis, a leukopenia or thrombocytopenia. During reception jaundice, increase in bilirubin and liver enzymes in blood, changes of arterial pressure, dizziness, disturbance in work of kidneys, allergic reactions are possible dryness in a mouth, up to an acute anaphylaxis.
