Antiperistalsis

Antiperistalsis (antiperistaltica; Greek anti-– against; opposite property, action, situation + the Greek peristaltikos – squeezing, covering) – a peristaltics in the opposite direction (from hollow body, distal by the proximal end). The antiperistalsis is observed, for example, at vomiting.
