Ventrikulografiya
Ventrikulografiya (anatomic ventriculus – a ventricle, a stomach + Greek grapho – to write, represent) – the X-ray inspection of a brain and its ventricular system which is carried out after implementation of contrasting of ventricles; it is intended for detection of occlusions on outflow tracts of cerebrospinal liquid and for topical diagnosis (localization definition) of volume intracranial processes.
Types of a ventrikulografiya:
- Kateterizatsionny – carry out administration of radiopaque substance in the III ventricle by means of the catheter passing through an interventricular foramen and a side ventricle;
- Positive – apply the contrast agents having a high absorbtion coefficient of x-ray emission.
