Tiapridal – anesthetic and antipsychotic means.
Pharmacological action of Tiapridal
Tiapridal is a neuroleptic which renders the antipsychotic, anesthetizing, sedative, somnolent action.
Antipsychotic effect of drug is caused by its ability to influence dopamine receptors.
Release form
Tiapridal release in tablets, solution for intramuscular injections, intravenous administration.
Indications to Tiapridal's use
Tiapridal according to the instruction appoint at a diskinetichesky and hyperkinetic syndrome: nervous tic, headache of a neurogenic origin, acute, chronic chorea, senile motor instability, tremor, alcoholism, psychomotor excitement, alcoholic psychosis.
There are good reviews of Tiapridala, applied at the chronic pains arising at spasms in hands, legs, an arthralgia at pains of a neurotic origin, and such that arise at cancer diseases.
Route of administration
Tiapridal's tablets at motive frustration appoint from 300 to 600 mg; at headaches, alcoholism – 200-400 mg; at the behavioural frustration which are followed by psychomotor excitement – from 600 to 1200 mg.
Children are 7-12 years old at psychomotor excitement and a nervous tic give 500-1000 mg; to elderly patients – 200-300 mg.
At severe pains appoint pricks and intramuscular introduction of medicine – 200-400 mg.
Side effects
Tiapridal can cause increased fatigue, excitement, an antipsychotic malignant syndrome, drowsiness, decrease in a tone of muscles, oculomotor disturbances, a spastic wryneck, extrapyramidal frustration, strengthening of alarm, an exacerbation of hallucinations, nonsense in patients with schizophrenia.
There are reviews of Tiapridala, causing an allergy on skin, pressure decrease, increase in weight, deterioration in a potentiality, an amenorrhea, a hyperthermia, a gynecomastia, frigidity, a giperprolaktinemiya.
At Tiapridal's overdose extrapyramidal frustration begin, strengthening of sedative effect of drug is observed. For treatment appoint holinoblokator, stop administration of drug.
Contraindications to Tiapridal's use
Tiapridal it is impossible to appoint at hypertensive crisis, a liver/renal failure in a heavy stage, hypersensitivity, a pheochromocytoma, dekompensirovanny epilepsy, during pregnancy (the first trimester), breastfeeding.
Under observation it is desirable to accept drug at epilepsy, a chronic renal failure, Parkinson's disease, dekompensirovanny diseases of cardiovascular system, to elderly patients.
