Tulip – hypolipidemic medicine from group of statines.

Structure and form of release

Tulip make in the form of round tablets, film coated 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg.

Atorvastatin of calcium – the main active ingredient of drug.

Auxiliary components: lactoses monohydrate, cellulose microcrystallic, sodium hydroxypropyl cellulose, polysorbate 80, silicon dioxide colloid, sodium of a kroskarmelloz, magnesium oxide heavy, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological effect of drug Tulip

According to the instruction Tulip possesses hypolipidemic, gipokholesterinemichesky and anti-atherosclerotic action:

• reduces maintenance and synthesis of the general cholesterol (by 30-45%);
• reduces quantity and synthesis of particles of LPNP in a blood plasma (by 40-60%);
• reduces the TG level (by 14-30%) and apolipoprotein B (for 30-50%);
• promotes increase in level of apolipoprotein A and particles of LPVP;
• reduces risk of emergence of complications of cardiovascular diseases (by 20%);

Indications to use

According to the instruction Tulip apply in treatment of the following diseases:

• primary hypercholesterolemia (across Frederikson, a single heterozygous hypercholesterolemia);
• the mixed (combined) lipidemia;
• homozygous and heterozygous hereditary hypercholesterolemia (as addition to a diet);
• hereditary endogenous gipertriglitseridemiya;
• diseases of cardiovascular system (against the background of a dislipidemiya).

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to any of Tulip's components;
• lactation period;
• pregnancy;

Use according to the instruction

Prior to therapy of the patient it is necessary to transfer to a medical diet with the reduced content of cholesterol. According to the instruction Tulip is recommended to accept irrespective of meal in an initial daily dose no more than 10 mg. In four weeks of reception should raise a daily dose (depending on a goal, portability and efficiency of drug) to 80 mg gradually. In a month after an initiation of treatment or in case of change of a dose it is necessary to carry out the laboratory analysis of lipidic structure of a blood plasma.

Side effect

Proceeding from responses, Tulip can cause the following by-effects from various bodies and systems of an organism:

• from the alimentary system: nausea, diarrhea or a lock, heartburn, an eructation, increase or a loss of appetite, vomiting, dryness in a mouth, stomatitis, a gastroenteritis, abnormal liver functions, a duodenum ulcer, pancreatitis.
• from a respiratory organs: rhinitis, bronchitis, диспноэ, pneumonia, nasal bleedings, bronchial asthma.
• from urinogenital system: peripheral hypostases, urogenital infections, urolithiasis, disturbance of chemical composition of urine, decrease in a libido, disturbance of an ejaculation, impotence, vaginal or uterine bleeding;

Judging by responses, Tulip can cause dizziness, sleeplessness, drowsiness, an indisposition, a depression, a loss of consciousness, a ring in ears, accommodation disturbance, dryness of a conjunctiva, allergic reactions (dermatitis, eczema, a skin itch, Stephens-Johnson's syndrome), deafness, hemorrhage in eyes, a stethalgia, arrhythmia, increase in intraocular pressure, a food faddism or loss of flavoring feelings.

Special instructions

At Tulip's use the laboratory analysis of indicators of function of a liver is recommended to be carried out in the initiation of treatment, in 6 and 12 weeks after the beginning of therapy, and also after each dose adjustment and then periodically (once to half a year). As a rule, change of activity of enzymes of a liver is noted within the first three months of treatment.

In need of performing complex treatment atorvastatiny and fibrata, cyclosporine, klaritromitsiny, antifungal medicines from group of azoles, and also immunodepressants it is necessary to watch especially carefully patients for early detection of symptoms of slackness, weakness, a mialgiya (especially in an initiation of treatment).
