Vazonit

Vazonit – the drug improving microcirculation and relating to group of vasoprotectives.

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in the form of tablets of the prolonged action, film coated, 600 mg (on 10 pieces in the blister, on 2 blisters in a cardboard pack).

Active ingredient of Vazonit is пентоксифиллин, as auxiliary components drug contains:

• Cellulose microcrystallic – 13,5 mg;
• Silicon dioxide colloid – 3 mg;
• Magnesium stearate – 4,5 mg;
• Gipromelloza 15000 Wednesday – 104 mg;
• Krospovidon – 15 mg.

Are a part of a cover:

• Talc – 11,842 mg;
• Gipromelloza 5 Wednesday – 3,286 mg;
• Macrogoal of 6000 - 3,943 mg;
• Titanium dioxide – 3,943 mg;
• The polyacrylic acid (in the form of 30% of dispersion) – 0,986 mg.

Indications to use

Indications to Vazonit's use are:

• Chronic and acute disorders of cerebral circulation of ischemic genesis;
• Distsirkulyatorny and atherosclerotic encephalopathy, angionevropatiya (Raynaud's disease, paresthesias);
• Disturbances of blood circulation of an eye (a chronic and acute circulatory unefficiency in a vascular or mesh cover of an eye);
• Disturbances of peripheric circulation against the background of diabetic, atherosclerotic and inflammatory processes (including at the alternating lameness caused by an obliterating endarteritis, atherosclerosis, a diabetic angiopatiya);
• The trophic disturbances of fabrics which arose against the background of disturbance of venous or arterial microcirculation (trophic ulcers, freezing injuries, a posttromboflebitichesky syndrome, gangrene);
• The dysfunctions of a middle ear of vascular genesis which are followed by relative deafness.

Drug is appointed for a symptomatic treatment of effects of disturbance of cerebral circulation of atherosclerotic genesis (dizziness, disturbances of concentration of attention and memory).

Contraindications

Contraindications to Vazonit's use are:

• Massive bleedings;
• Eye retinal apoplexies;
• Acute myocardial infarction;
• Acute hemorrhagic stroke;
• Hypersensitivity to components of drug and other derivatives of methylxanthine;
• Period of pregnancy and lactation;
• Age less than 18 years (safety and efficiency of drug for this age category are not established).

With care of Vazonit it is appointed at:

• Arterial hypotension;
• Chronic heart failure;
• Disturbance of a heart rhythm;
• Atherosclerosis of coronary and/or cerebral vessels;
• Renal and liver failure;
• The increased tendency to bleeding;
• Peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum;
• States after recently postponed surgical interventions (because of risk of development of bleedings).

Route of administration and dosage

Drug should be accepted inside after food, without breaking integrity of a tablet and washing down with enough liquid.

About 1 tablet (600 mg) of Vazonit and is in most cases recommended to accept in the morning in the evening. The maximum daily dose makes 1200 mg.

Duration of treatment and the mode of dosing is defined by the doctor according to a clinical picture of a disease and the reached therapeutic effect.

At treatment of the patients having a chronic renal failure (KK less than 30 ml/min.), it is recommended to reduce a daily dose of drug to 600 mg.

At patients with heavy abnormal liver functions reduction of a dose has to be made taking into account individual portability.

Treatment of patients with low arterial pressure, and also the patients who are in risk group in view of a possible lowering of arterial pressure (hemodynamically significant stenoses of vessels of a brain, a severe form of coronary heart disease) it is recommended to begin with small doses. In similar cases only gradual increase in a dose is allowed.

Side effects

Vazonit's use can cause the following side effects:

• From the alimentary system: diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, pains in epigastriums, dryness in a mouth, a loss of appetite, feelings of overflow and pressure in a stomach, an intestines atony, cholestatic hepatitis, an exacerbation of cholecystitis, increase in activity of an alkaline phosphatase and liver enzymes;
• From the central nervous system: headaches and dizziness, sleep disorders, uneasiness, spasms, cases of development of aseptic meningitis are recorded;
• From cardiovascular system: tachycardia, arrhythmia, lowering of arterial pressure, progressing of stenocardia, cardialgia;
• From system of a hemopoiesis and a homeostasis: seldom – thrombocytopenia, a pancytopenia, aplastic anemia, a leukopenia, a hypofibrinogenemia, bleedings (from intestines, vessels of a stomach, mucous membranes and skin). In the course of treatment regular control of a picture of peripheral blood is necessary;
• From skin and a hypodermic fatty tissue: rushes of blood to face skin and an upper part of a thorax, the increased fragility of nails, a dermahemia of the person, hypostases;
• From organs of sight: vision disorders, scotoma;
• Allergic reactions: dermahemia, Quincke's disease of Quincke, skin itch, small tortoiseshell, acute anaphylaxis.

Special instructions

In the course of therapy it is necessary to control arterial pressure. For patients with low and unstable arterial pressure the dose of drug has to be reduced.

In the presence of the expressed renal failures treatment is recommended to be carried out under careful observation of the doctor.

When developing hemorrhage in a mesh cover of an eye Vazonit's use should be cancelled.

Systematic control of a hematocrit and hemoglobin is necessary at treatment of the patients who recently transferred an operative measure.

At simultaneous use of anticoagulants and Vazonit it is necessary to control indicators of coagulant system of blood (including MNO).

At treatment of the patients with a diabetes mellitus accepting hypoglycemic drugs correction of a dose as the concomitant use of Vazonit in high doses can cause development of a hypoglycemia is required.

Therapy of elderly patients can demand reduction of a dose, in view of reduction in the rate of removal and increase in bioavailability.

In the course of treatment it is recommended to refrain from the use of alcoholic drinks.

Smoking can promote decrease in therapeutic effect of Vazonit.

At control of vehicles and service of difficult mechanisms it is necessary to be careful as use of drug can cause dizziness.

Terms storage conditions

Period of validity – 5 years. To store at a temperature not above 25 °C in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children.
