Aktiferrin

Aktiferrin – drug for completion of deficit of iron.

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in the form of capsules, syrup and drops.

Active ingredients as a part of capsules are sulfate gland monohydrate and serine. Act as auxiliary components: yellow beeswax, lecithin, oil of soybeans, rape oil.

Active agents of Aktiferrin in the form of syrup are sulfate gland heptahydrate and serine, and auxiliary: ascorbic acid, ethanol, invert sugar syrup, crimson and creamy fragrances, the purified water.

The structure of drops of drug, except these auxiliary components, includes also potassium sorbate.

Indications to use

According to the instruction, Aktiferrin appoint at an iron deficiency anemia and the deficit of iron caused:

• Big blood loss;
• Period of a lactation and pregnancy;
• Chronic gastritis;
• GIT ulcer;
• Tumoral diseases;
• Stomach resection;
• The postponed infections.

Aktiferrin's use for children is effective during active growth, in the period of reduced body resistance, and also at infectious and tumoral diseases.

Contraindications

According to the instruction, Aktiferrin is not appointed in cases:

• Anemias hemolitic, aplastic, sideroakhrestichesky, caused by poisoning with lead;
• Hemosiderosis;
• Hemochromatosis;
• Late porphyria of skin;
• Chronic hemolysis;
• Hypersensitivity.

During a lactation and pregnancy Aktiferrin's use is considered safe if the lack of iron is diagnosed.

Route of administration and dosage

Adults and teenagers accept drug in capsules. According to the instruction, Aktiferrin is appointed by him on 1 capsule of 2-3 times a day. If bad portability is observed, the dosage is gradually reduced, selecting optimum, but treatment duration is increased at the same time. To children up to 6 years appoint on 1 capsule of drug of 1 times a day.

Syrup Aktiferrin is appointed to children 2 years are more senior. The admissible daily dosage makes 5 ml on 12 kg of weight of the child. Drug in the form of syrup to children of preschool age is appointed on 5 ml by 1-2 times a day, to children of school age – 5 ml 2-3 times a day.

To give to newborns and children up to 2 years more preferable drug in drops. The daily dosage makes 5 drops on 1 kg of weight of the child. Frequency rate of reception – 2-3 times a day. On average to children of chest age appoint till 10-15 drops, preschool – 25-35 drops, school – 50 drops 3 times a day.

It is possible to accept Aktiferrin in time or after meal, washing down with water. Capsules cannot be chewed.

Side effects

After Aktiferrin's use the following undesirable phenomena can be observed:

• Deterioration in appetite;
• Smack of bitterness in a mouth;
• Meteorism;
• Diarrhea;
• Abdominal pains;
• Lock;
• Vomiting;
• Nausea;
• Allergic rash and itch;
• Dizziness;
• Irritability;
• Encephalopathy;
• Head and dentagra;
• Pharyngalgia;
• Feeling of a sdavlennost in a breast;
• Acute anaphylaxis (seldom).

As a rule, side effects from a digestive tract take place at reduction of a dosage.

At Aktiferrin's overdose can arise:

• Weakness;
• Paresthesias;
• Pallor of skin;
• Lowering of arterial pressure;
• Cardiopalmus;
• Abdominal pain;
• Diarrhea with blood.
• confusion of consciousness
• Lethargy
• Spasms
• Coma
• Hyperthermia
• Low pulse

Treat overdose by a gastric lavage, reception of milk, crude egg, appoint Deferoxaminum.

Special instructions

In the presence of a renal or liver failure the probability of cumulation of iron increases.

Aktiferrin's use can provoke an exacerbation of inflammatory and ulcer diseases of intestines.

At regular use of drug darkening of teeth can be observed.

Absorbability of means is reduced:

• Etidronovy acid;
• Antiacid means;
• Pancreatinum;
• Egg yolks;
• Cereals;
• Vegetables;
• Milk;
• Coffee;
• Tea.

Aktiferrin's reception negatively affects digestion of tetracyclines, ftorkhinolon, Penicillaminum.

At a combination to ethanol in certain cases drug can cause toxic complications.

In high doses means reduces zinc absorption by kidneys.

Terms and storage conditions

Drug is released from drugstores according to the recipe. It needs to be stored in the dry place unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.

The period of validity of all dosage forms makes 2 years. Drops and syrup after opening should be stored not longer than 1 month.
