Амлодипин

Amlodipin is a drug of anti-hypertensive action which lowers pressure thanks to ability to relax smooth muscles of vessels. Means has also anti-anginal property.

Form of release and structure

Amlodipin produce in tablets with active ingredient (амлодипин in the form of a bezilat) 2,5, 5 and 10 mg. Drug tablets round, with slanted edges, white color. One blister contains 10 pieces. In one cardboard pack 2 blisters.

The composition of drug, except active component, includes cellulose silicate microcrystallic, magnesium stearate and starch prezhelatinizirovanny.

Indications to use

According to the instruction, Amlodipin appoint for treatment of the following diseases:

Arterial hypertension (it is applied both as a part of complex treatment, and in the form of monotherapy);
Angina of exertion;
Vasospastic stenocardia;
Coronary heart disease (including in a chronic stage);
Chronic heart failure;
Bronchial asthma.

Contraindications

According to the instruction, Amlodipin do not use at individual intolerance drug, cardiogenic shock, during pregnancy, feeding by a breast, at arterial hypotension and a collapse.

Drug is appointed with care at chronic heart failure, diabetes, disturbances of lipidic exchange, functions of a liver, after a heart attack (especially in the first month), and also the patient at advanced age and to patients up to 18 years.

Route of administration and dosage

According to the instruction, Amlodipin is appointed in the following dosages:

At a hypertension which is complicated by stenocardia an ischemic disease, drug is used 1 time a day on 5 mg;
At arterial hypertension which proceeds without complications drug is used 1 time a day on 2,5 mg.

If necessary the dosage can be increased about 10 mg that is the most admissible daily dose.

Side effects

Amlodipin's use can cause side effects from the following systems of an organism:

TsNS: headache, fatigue, spasms, paresthesia, dizziness, depression, disturbances of the mode of wakefulness and dream, adynamy, nervousness, loss of consciousness, tremor, amnesia, apathy, uneasiness;
Cardiovascular system, hemopoiesis: leukopenia, premature ventricular contraction, disturbances of a heart rhythm, hypotonia, hyperemia of a body and person, breast pain, hypostases of extremities, hyperglycemia, short wind, thrombocytopenia;
GIT: vomiting, dryness in a mouth, a meteorism, gastritis, pains in epigastric area, increase in amount of bilirubin, pancreatitis, nausea, disturbance of a chair, the increased appetite, change of activity of enzymes of a liver.

Amlodipin's use can cause also disturbance of sexual function, pathology of joints, disturbance of an urination, a myasthenia.

Cases of emergence of dermatitis, small tortoiseshell, skin itch, erythematic rash are recorded.

It is known also that drug can cause a vision disorder, change of body temperature, the increased sweating, bleedings from a nose and a ring in ears.
