Bepanten
Application instruction:
Bepanten – outside drug with the regenerating action.
Form of release and structure
Bepanten release in the following dosage forms:
- Cream for external use of 5%: soft, homogeneous, white or white with a yellowish shade has a slight specific smell, color (in aluminum tubas on 3,5 g, 30 g, 100 g);
- Ointment for external use of 5%: opaque, elastic, pale yellow color, with a slight smell of lanolin (in aluminum tubas on 3,5 g, 30 g, 100 g).
Active agent: декспантенол, in 1 g of cream and 1 g of ointment – 50 mg.
Excipients:
- Cream: DL пантолактон, potassium cetylphosphate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin, isopropyl myristate, propylene glycol, the water purified;
- Ointment: протегин X, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin, white beeswax, white soft paraffin, oil almond, liquid paraffin, the water purified.
Indications to use
Active ingredient of Bepanten – B5 provitamin (декспантенол) – is well soaked up by skin cells. After hit in an epithelium декспантенол passes into a form of pantothenic acid which, being a coenzyme A component, stimulates recovery of integuments and mucous membranes, normalizes a cellular metabolism, increases durability of collagenic fibers.
Drug renders the recovering, moistening and insignificant antiinflammatory action, it can be used on any sites of skin.
Bepanten appoint:
- For care of babies and babies (for prevention of development of an intertrigo, a diaper dermatitis);
- For daily care of sites of integuments which are subject to strong influence of external factors (hands, a face);
- For treatment and prevention of a xeroderma;
- For care of mammary glands in the period of a lactation (at cracks and reddenings of nipples of mammary glands);
- For activation of process of healing of skin at slight burns (including solar), small damages (grazes, cuts, cracks), an erythema from diapers, skin irritations, decubituses, chronic ulcers, and also at an erosion of a neck of uterus and skin transplantation.
Contraindications
Bepanten's use is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to the components which are a part of means.
The feeding and pregnant women can apply means.
Route of administration and dosage
At care of newborns ointment or cream Bepanten regularly apply on clean dry skin after change of diapers or diapers.
At preventive processing and treatment of nipples drug is applied after feeding.
For treatment of injuries of a neck of uterus, proctal pass, wounds and other damages of an integument means is put by 1-2 times a day directly to the place of damage. Duration of use of Bepanten is defined by the doctor individually, proceeding from indications.
Side effects
Side effects after Bepanten's use arise seldom, development of an itch and small tortoiseshell was in certain cases noted.
