Bilobil
Application instruction:
Bilobil – the medicine of a plant origin improving cerebral and peripheral circulation.
Form of release and structure
Drug is produced in capsules: lilac-brown (a cover and the case), gelatinous, containing yellowish-brown powder with visible more dark impregnations (in blisters on 10 pieces, in a pack of cardboard 2, 6 or 10 blisters).
In 1 capsule of Bilobil:
- Active ingredient: dry extract from leaves of a ginkgo bilobed – 40 mg, from which 6% (2,4 mg) – terpenic lactones, 24% (9,6 mg) – flavonovy glycosides;
- Excipients: starch corn, silicon dioxide colloid (anhydrous), lactoses monohydrate, magnesium stearate, talc.
The gelatin capsule consists of gelatin, titanium of dioxide, dye of ferrous oxide red, dye of an azoruby, dye of indigotin, dye of ferrous oxide black.
Indications to use
The ginkgo bilobed improves supply of tissues of brain with blood by expansion of blood vessels and improvement of a blood-groove (a blood coagulation decreases). Drug also regulates metabolism.
Bilobil's use is recommended in the following cases:
- Disturbance of cerebral circulation;
- Memory impairment;
- Lag in intellectual development;
- Alarming states which are followed by isolation;
- Dizzinesses, sonitus and sleep disorders;
- Raynaud's disease;
- Other pathologies which are followed by disturbance of peripheric circulation.
Contraindications
- The lowered coagulability of blood;
- Erosive gastritis;
- Peptic ulcer of a stomach and/or duodenum in an aggravation phase;
- Acute disorders of cerebral circulation;
- Acute myocardial infarction;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Patients can use this medicine for therapy not more young than 18 years.
Route of administration and dosage
Bilobil's use in the following dosage is recommended: on 1 capsule 3 times a day, washing down with a small amount of water.
Bilobil begins to show the therapeutic properties only in a month after the beginning of a course. For keeping of long effect medicine should be taken for 3 months (it especially urgent concerning elderly people).
Side effects
- Allergic manifestations: skin itch, dermahemia, swelling;
- Alimentary system: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting;
- Nervous system: sleeplessness, headache, dizziness, hearing disorder;
- Another: decrease in hemocoagulation.
In case of undesirable symptoms it is necessary to cancel reception.
Special instructions
There are no data on whether Bilobil's reception influences the high speed of response of the person. Therefore it is better for drivers and people whose work demands speed of reaction to refrain from its reception.
If often there are feelings of dizziness, a sonitus, a partial hearing loss, it is necessary to consult by all means with the doctor.
Because of the capsule of lactose which is contained in structure it is not necessary to appoint Bilobil sick with a glucose/galactose sprue, a galactosemia, and also at a lack of lapp lactase.
Existence as a part of azoic dyes (E110, E124 and E151) in extremely exceptional cases can become the reason of development of a bronchospasm.
