Декарис 150 мг Decarice – protivogelmintny drug.

Form of release and structure

Decarice is produced in the form of tablets: flat, round, with a facet; 50 mg: light orange color, with a tag "+" on one of the parties, with a light apricot smell (on 2 pieces in blister strip packagings, on 1 packaging in a cardboard pack); 150 mg: almost white color, with a text of "DECARIS 150" on one of the parties (on 1 piece in blister strip packagings, on 1 packaging in a cardboard pack).

Active agent is a part of 1 tablet: levamisole – 50 or 150 mg (levamisole a hydrochloride – 59 or 177 mg (respectively)).

The auxiliary components which are a part of tablets:

50 mg: sodium saccharinate, corn starch, apricot fragrance, povidone, magnesium stearate, talc, dye sunset yellow (E110);
150 mg: povidone, corn starch, monohydrate of lactose, talc, sucrose, magnesium stearate.

Indications to use

Decarice is appointed at infection with Ascaris lumbrocoides, Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator Americanus helminths.

Contraindications

The agranulocytosis connected using medicines (in the anamnesis);
Age up to 3 years;
Period of a lactation (breastfeeding);
Hypersensitivity to drug components.

To children of a tablet of 150 mg do not appoint.

Decarice should be taken with caution at oppression of a marrowy hemopoiesis and to patients with a liver and/or renal failure.

Route of administration and dosage

Decarice should be accepted inside, after food in the evening, washing down with a small amount of water. There is no need for a special diet or reception of laxatives.

Drug is accepted once. The adult usually appoint 1 tablet of 150 mg. Children should accept drug proceeding from age and weight:

3-6 years (from 10 to 20 kg) – 0,5-1 tablet on 50 mg (25-50 mg);
6-10 years (from 20 to 30 kg) – 1-1,5 tablets on 50 mg (50-75 mg);
10-14 years (from 30 to 40 kg) – 1,5-2 tablets on 50 mg (75-100 mg).

If necessary in 1-2 weeks Dekaris's reception can be repeated.

Side effects

During therapy development of such side effects as a heart consciousness, a headache, dizziness, sleeplessness, spasms, the dispepsichesky phenomena is possible (vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pains).

Also there are messages on development in 2-5 weeks after administration of drug of disturbances from the central nervous system in the form of encephalopathy and the allergic reactions which are shown as skin rash.

In most cases such phenomena have reversible character. The forecast improves early use of glucocorticosteroids.

Communication of these side effects with Dekaris's reception is not quite convincing, but at administration of drug in high doses or at long treatment development of a leukopenia, tremor, agranulocytosis is possible.

Medicinal interaction

At the same time it is impossible to apply Dekaris with lipophilic drugs (phenoxin, oil a henopodiya, tetrachlorethylene, ether or chloroform) as at such combination its toxicity can amplify.

At a concomitant use of levamisole with alcoholic drinks the disulfiramopodobny phenomena can be observed.

It is necessary to be careful at Dekaris's use with the medicines influencing a hemopoiesis.

The prothrombin time can increase at a concomitant use of levamisole with kumarinopodobny anticoagulants in this connection it is necessary to correct a dose of peroral anticoagulant.

Decarice can increase Phenytoinum level in blood therefore at simultaneous use of these drugs it should be controlled.
