Fragmin
Application instruction:
Fragmin (the international name – Dalteparin of sodium) treats group of direct anticoagulants which have 
a fibrinolitic and immunodepressive effect. Drug has anticoagulative effect and is intended for treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Structure and form of release
The main active ingredient – далтепарин sodium of 25-50 mg.
Auxiliary components: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, the purified water.
Fragmin is issued in the form of solution for intravenous injections in ampoules on 1 ml placed in cardboard packaging on 10 pieces.
Pharmacological action of Fragmin
Fragmin actively influences coagulability of blood. Drug is created on the basis of a low-molecular concentrate of heparin with addition of particles of a mucous membrane of a small bowel of a pig, and as additional clarification the ionic chromatography was applied.
According to Fragmin's instruction the medical effect is reached within 3-4 hours after administration of drug. Bioavailability makes about 90%. Fragmin is brought from an organism by kidneys with urine.
The course of treatment drug with care is appointed to patients with a serious illness of bodies of a GIT, a liver and renal failure as Fragmin increases risk of developing of internal bleedings. Also medicine increases risk of emergence of a spinal hematoma at a concomitant use with other anticoagulants and drugs with the content of heparin.
Patients to a thromboembolism at high doses of Fragmin can have a sharp lowering of arterial pressure and arise a depressed case.
Indications to use
Fragmin is appointed for prevention of coagulability of blood and a thrombogenesis when carrying out surgeries.
Drug is effective as a part of complex therapy for treatment of a vein thrombosis, stenocardia, a thromboembolism and a myocardial infarction.
Application instruction of Fragmin
According to the instruction Fragmin it is necessary to enter 200 ME 1-2 times a day or on 100 ME 2-3 times a day. In out-patient conditions, as well as in a hospital, the exact dosage of drug is determined by the attending physician by testimonies of the patient.
During treatment it is necessary to carry out by drug regular monitoring of coagulability of blood. For patients with serious violations of blood circulation preliminary therapy by indirect coagulants is appointed, and then Fragmin is added to a combination therapy.
To patients with the increased 
risk of internal bleedings about 5-10 ME solutions of Fragmin intravenously 1 time a day are appointed. The drug is administered gradually within several minutes.
Per day before carrying out surgical intervention Fragmin enter on 5000 ME 1 times and in the same dosage within 5 days after operation.
Fragmin's solution after orthopedic operations needs to be entered within 3-4 weeks on 5000 ME 1 times a day.
Contraindications
Fragmin is contraindicated at hypersensitivity and individual intolerance of components of drug, immune thrombocytopenia, internal bleedings, a serious illness of bodies of a GIT, an endocarditis, diseases of the central nervous system, vision disorders and hearing.
It is not necessary to appoint Fragmin at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Drug increases risk of maldevelopment of a fruit, and in the period of a lactation makes negative impact on maternal milk.
In rare instances, Fragmin at pregnancy can be appointed the attending physician if efficiency of treatment exceeds risk of side reactions.
With care drug is appointed at a renal and liver failure, disturbances of functioning of a brain and at advanced age.
Side effects of Fragmin
Fragmin can cause internal bleedings, thrombocytopenia, a spinal hematoma, anaphylactic reactions, a skin necrosis.
At long administration of drug allergic reactions – urticaria, an itch, skin rash, a Quincke's edema, dermatitis can appear.
