Ftorlak – drug for prevention of caries of teeth.
Structure and form of release of Ftorlak
Produce the solution 
for topical administration which is viscous dark-brown liquid with a needles smell. Solution contains sodium chloride, alcohol, fluorine, shellac, fir balm and chloroform.

Pharmacological action
According to the instruction Ftorlak is intended with the preventive purpose from caries of teeth. Solution keeps on the surface of teeth in the form of a film thanks to what there is a long saturation of enamel of teeth fluorine.
According to reviews Ftorlak possesses also antimicrobic action and reduces, or even removes at all, painful sensitivity of solid tissues of tooth.
Indications to Ftorlak's use
According to the instruction Ftorlak apply in the following cases:
- prevention of caries of teeth at children from six-year age and teenagers, preferential, living in the area with the low content of fluorine in drinking water.
- hypersensitivity of teeth;
- traumatic damages of an adamantine substance of tooth;
- the increased erasability of an adamantine substance of tooth;
The covering Ftorlak is applied to obtaining the antimicrobic and anesthetizing effects, and also after processing of teeth under artificial crowns.
Route of administration of Ftorlak and mode of dosing
Before a covering Ftorlak the surface of teeth needs to be wiped with a cotton plug, and after to apply drug by means of a brush on an adamantine substance of tooth. The procedure is begun with a mandible as it helps to avoid saliva accumulation.
Before full drying of a varnish the patient needs to sit with an open mouth (about five minutes). Important: it is necessary to watch that the varnish did not get on a gingiva as it can cause a burn. After putting drug it is not recommended to brush teeth for days, and in food it is necessary to eat only liquid food.
Doctors recommend a 3-hkratny covering Ftorlak at an interval of two days, and later half a year it is possible to repeat the procedure.
