Pharmacological action of Haliksol

The main operating component of drug is Ambroxol – the Bromhexine metabolite in an active form belonging to benzylamine group of mucolytic means.

Drug Haliksol is available in pharmacy chains in two various forms:

• tablets of the color close to white. Flat, rounded shape, on one of the parties also the engraving in the form of a letter "E", on the other hand – an engraving "231" is located risk. Indications to Haliksol's use

Contraindications to Haliksol's use

• during the I trimester of pregnancy;

Children from 5 to 12 years should take on a half a pill of Haliksol 2 or 3 times a day. Reception of syrup makes 5 ml with the same frequency. At the same time the form of syrup is preferable to children 5 years are younger.

To kids from 2 to 5 years Haliksol is appointed in the form of syrup. The dosage makes 2,5 ml three times a day.

Aged up to 2 years children should accept 2,5 ml twice a day.

Side effects of Haliksol

Sick diabetes mellitus it is necessary to consider that Haliksol contains not specific sweeteners, cyclomate of sodium and sorbitol in insignificant quantities.

As a part of drug there is no alcohol.

Haliksol's use during breastfeeding should be suspended as drug is emitted with breast milk.

Overdose by Haliksol

The overdose of drug is capable to cause developing of nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dyspepsia. As treatment the gastric lavage, plentiful drink, and also reception of the products containing high percent of fat is recommended.

Storage conditions

Tablets Haliksol need to be stored at the room temperature, far from sunshine and access for children. The period of validity at the correct storage makes 5 years.

Syrup is recommended to be stored at a temperature within 15-22 °C, preserving against access for children. A period of validity – up to 5 years.
